Urban Silence

This track offers a calm and steady lo-fi hip hop experience, perfect for study, focus, or unwinding. It features the comforting presence of 70% vinyl crackle and persistent tape noise, contributing to a rich, gentle analog warmth. Clean electric piano chords and gentle guitar plucks weave a relaxed melodic tapestry over a simple, unobtrusive bassline. Subtle rain sounds further enhance the cozy, introspective atmosphere, creating a perfect sonic backdrop for any moment of relaxation or concentration.

In Zero Gravity

This collection of songs were composed during the initial Guess Ready Review artist residency August 2013, on acoustic guitar and piano in what is known as Ober's House or Big House. The recording setup was basic and sacrificed sound quality for ambiance. These are first drafts, while some of these compositions were further refined and used in a soundtrack for the 2014 documentary Beyond The Divide. There is an immediacy and intimacy in these demo recordings that will always take me back to the way the light curled in between the tree branches and in through the windows into that big, musty room of old books, maps and pictures; the smell of dirt and tobacco and the echos of old stories and songs filling the room.

thanks for being here.
This is the story of a young adult, who has decided to leave everything he knew and head for another horizon. His heart hasn't replaced his reason, it's his reason that finally agreed to partner with his heart.
He's not quite sure what he's doing, but he knows it's the right thing to do. 
He finds it fascinating to consider that the search for fulfillment in simple things is not tied to a particular period of time. The desire to detach oneself from all those things that make life so unnecessarily complicated has always been there.
Contentment, reparation, patience are values that are getting lost as society progresses, as we can see it in the way we treat our relationships and belongings.

This musical project retraces the journey that each of us once dreamed of pursuing. To this end I brought along my usual folk-hop sound, with some charming, acoustic and warm melodies. I hope it will somehow make your day a tiny bit better in one way or another :)
