Enjoying this tune for some time now, comparing your earlier banjo centric post and my attempt to copy on the accordion from several years ago.  So much fun to hear in different ways.

Excellent, this was my breakfast tune today and has put me in a whole new mood. I like that music can do this.

Hilary, always a thrill to play with you. A learning experience too, and I love learning these tunes. Also I didn't realize that was the strumstick; I thought it had some extra bite but figured maybe it was new strings or something. Very cool.

this is a great bright spot;  thanks to you all.

Lovely authentic sounds, everyone! And I love that brightness at the bend in the road :)

Returning Traveler

This is a humble homage to beloved poet Patrizia Cavalli who passed away on June 21 2022. Reading together her poem "Amore Semplicissimo"

This tune was written after getting my first good look at a very strange bird called a woodcock. It’s an odd looking bird in the sandpiper family, that mostly dwells in forests. I saw three of them in a forest high up in the hills of my town, walking in a line with lots of peculiar bobbing motions mixed into their steps. After seeing them I began improvising on my banjo and this tune came about. Though here I play it on a tin whistle and a dulcitar.
