Detroit Hip Hop duo The Regiment team up with Arizona emcee/producer/game enthusiast Random AKA MegaRan for this year’s ode to video gamers worldwide, the aptly titled A Gamer’s Anthem EP.

Consisting of 6 solid tracks of various production styles combined with thought provoking, rawly delivered lyrics, A Gamer’s Anthem is guarenteed to be the new soundtrack to gamers worldwide; all while appealing to Hip Hop fans of all generations.

HiPNOTT Records was founded in 2009 by hip hop blogger Kevin Nottingham (of KevinNottingham.com) in an effort to release good music by artists that deserve to be heard. This is the first instance of a hip hop blogger branching out to form an independent label.

HiPNOTT Records’ goal is to continuously build their artists’ resumes and consistently develop an image that hip hop will have no choice but to admire. With Kevin Nottingham at the helm, a man who certainly respects the past, present, and future of the genre, it is hard to deny the capability of reaching these goals amongst others.

Raheem Jarbo, aka Random or Mega Ran. Teacher/Rapper/Hero. People will remember Ran for his daring leap into video game remixing which led to a Capcom cosign, but Random's penchant for storytelling has impressed retro gamers while garnering respect from Hip-Hop's harshest critics.

An incredible impromptu "freestyle" MC, Random's unique combination of fantasy and introspective hip-hop has found its way into TV shows, movies, video games, and even coursework at several universities. That's Random. 

Random, aka Random Beats, aka Mega Ran personifies what Hip-Hop should be: Spontaneous, fun, and true. Every album conveys a different theme, a different vibe and a different emotion.
