"The sun of a mediterranean April began to warm my sad and disheartened soul from a period psychologically long and heavy to endure. A long period that has severely tested the peoples of an entire planet. I knew that to get out of it I would have to feed my spirit with music. But I was looking for a different kind of music, far from everything I had created so far. The desire to create something syncretic, transversal, highly energetic and spiritual, rich, ancestral and melodic, grew in me. I took a cue from this global situation to think about our destiny, about our sense of belonging to this place and this time. So I looked for a sound that was stripped of any categorization. A sound capable to elude any scheme by borrowing instruments, sounds, melodies from all over the world and blending them together. Whether it was a japanese taiko, a blues or latin melody played on the guitar, a duduk (and, why not, a panflute) or the voice of an opera singer no longer mattered. These elements so distant and different from each other had to dialogue together. I asked my best friend, Ueps, to accompany me with his guitar: I needed his company to face this sonic journey. Tales of Citadel may be the least eccentric and most calculated face of a sound explorer based in Mexico City, minimalism is one of his main paths no matter which of his various sneakers he wears when is walking.

A rare celestial visitor from beyond the void 🪐

3I/ATLAS is the third confirmed interstellar object ever observed. Discovered on 1 July 2025 by the ATLAS telescope in Chile, it’s up to about 28 km wide, traveling fast and will pass just inside Mars’ orbit in late October 2025. Likely an active comet, it may form a glowing coma and tail as it nears the Sun. 

Though hidden behind the Sun at closest approach, it should reappear by December 2025. Interstellar visitors like 3I/ATLAS carry material from distant planetary systems, offering a rare glimpse into worlds beyond our own and bringing significant changes into the energy grid of our solar system.
