We’re continuing our summer cocktail menu with the Rum Runner, an exotic refreshener brought to you by VANDER. 

Originally from the white sand beaches of the Dominican Republic, VANDER is currently based in Amsterdam.  

He is the connection of all the pieces of a puzzled world influenced brain. Collecting memories and acquiring knowledge from a diverse group of cultures, it was impossible not to let them influence his musical taste. 
His sound is the result of his inclination towards spirituality, romance, and connection. All this, combined with his Latin musical influences coming from the sunny Caribbean, result in a rhythm he describes as "mambo". 

Vander just returned from his show at the Horde Cruise in Paris when he recorded this exclusive set for Schirmchendrink. Next stop is the Monastery festival by The Gardens of Babylon, where he plays as resident.

Andy's career started out 16yrs prior in 1996 when he embarked on a monthly residency with Derby based club Progress. Visited by the countries leading Artists the likes of Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Judge Jules, Boy George, Tony De Vit & Danny Rampling. Through playing for the club over the years it would open many doors for other opportunities including sets in Ibiza. 

In 1998 Andy played for the world renowned Manumission at their pre-club venue Bar M. On a stormy night in late 1998 one of their Residents was unable to make it to the venue, so Andy was asked to cover and ended up playing the full 8hrs B2B with good friend Kris O' Rourke. Over the years that followed other venues would book him to play included Kanya, Bay Bar, Base Bar, The Orange Corner, Cadena Cien Radio and Ibiza Global Radio. In 2017 Andy was successful in being a finalist to play at the legendary Space Ibiza for the Carl Cox Revolution night. 

Fast forward to present day and Andy is currently working on further expansion of the Deeper Sounds In-Flight Radio Shows by adding more Airlines to host the shows. Continue growing the recently launched 'Imaginations' Radio Show on Frisky Radio which has featured to date the likes of Igor Marijuan, Nua, Urmet K and Quatri. Work has also started on the launch of Deeper Sounds Events which are currently in the early planning stages but are likely to start late 2019.
