Hisham Zahran - Year Mix [2021]

Hiya guys, with Warm Up Festival just around the corner I thought now would be a nice moment to share a special set that I played at last year's festival.

Whilst chilling in the campsite with friends after Max Cooper had closed the main stage on the Sunday night, I realised I still had my USB in my pocket, so I decided to jump on the decks in the Blue Moon tent, which is our after hours chill out spot. Before I knew it, the space was pulsating with soft rhythms and deep flowing grooves. The tent was oozing with love, and there were smiles on everyone's faces, and some tears of joy too. I felt like we were all in a cocoon together, cushioned by the warmth of the music, and feeling euphoric with the afterglow of what had just unfolded over the weekend. Warm Up Festival had finished, and this was our decompression as we wound down and reflected upon the beauty of the weekend.

I took this opportunity to revisit some of my old folders containing the deepest shades of house house music. Nothing was planned, but somehow each track I chose seemed to flow perfectly into the next and formed what turned out to be a really special journey. 

Those few hours will stay with me forever, it was the most enjoyable DJ’ing experience I've ever had. If you were one of the people in the tent with me that night, I hope you enjoy reliving the beautiful moments we shared together.

Let’s meet again this summer in the Blue Moon, after-hours on the Sunday night for round 2. 

I look forward to playing for you all at Warm Up Festival again very soon.

Hard to believe that another year has already passed by. Decided to mix another one of these on account of the fair amount of good music we've been blessed with this year. I've taken a different approach with this one. I'm usually very meticulous when it comes to compiling my mixes (last year's mix took me 8 months to put together) but i've decided to mix this one on the fly with no pre planned tracklist. The tracks that made it into the mix are the ones that always sounded fresh even after several listens. Hisham Zahran - Year Mix [2014]

Hard to believe that another year has flashed by so quickly. 2015 was probably my best year music wise. I got to travel a lot, visit some amazing places and meet a lot of great people. So as per usual i would like to share with you all my year mix for 2015. This one proved to be a bit of challenge for me. I’ve been working on the tracklist since last February and i just couldn’t make the mix flow the way that i wanted. I’ve reached a point where i was about to scrap the whole thing and just spare myself all the trouble. Luckily i came across these 4-5 tracks towards the end of the year, that ultimately acted as the foundation and I’ve managed to build the whole mix around them. A big thank you to everyone who’s been a part of my 2015, it was such a defining year for me and I’m very thankful for everything i have in my life. Anyway, i hope you guys enjoy my take on 2015 :) x

The pair are collaborating around their very own label Manjumasi and if the debut release (featuring Slee himself, Patlac and Tim Green) is anything to go by, the imprint will fast be a major influence not only on the the west coast of the USA but also much further afield. Carrying a clear vision, an ensemble of impressive experiences and a whole tonne of exuberance, the boys are ready to set the future in motion. Hey everyone, i wasn't sure that i was going to be doing one of these this year.I honestly just didn't feel like it up until a few days ago, until i opened Ableton and decided to give it a go. Usually i have a tracklist running for several months before i finish this mix, but this year i decided to take a different approach by just mixing it randomly (its 2020 after all planning is pointless).
