A modern master of house and techno, the Seven Villas label founder is known equally well as an album artist and prolific remixer, but perhaps foremost as a world class DJ. With a diverse artistic spectrum and global resonance, it becomes evident that Pablo Bolivar was destined to create music, always driven by a profound commitment to quality.

Born in Santander, Spain, in 1981, he took his first steps into the music business by studying Sound Engineering at Barcelona’s Crash institute, then working as an engineer for a number of years following his graduation in 2000. Boasting more than a decade of experience releasing music, Pablo Bolívar is a name familiar to most in the underground circuit of Dance music.

Subsequently, Pablo ventured into the realm of one of Spain's most esteemed electronic imprints, Decoder Muzique. In 2006, he made his debut on the Barcelona-based Regular label with the release of 'Anjanas,' an 11-track album that beautifully showcased his melodic, hypnotic, and enigmatic style of techno. This distinctive approach, weaving between ambient interludes and more club-oriented moments, demonstrated a maturity and profound musical understanding born from his in-depth studies of the art form.

In 2009, Pablo released his critically acclaimed and personally cherished LP, 'Recall,' once again through Regular. The album paid homage to his past influences, including Heiko Laux and the Kanzleramt label, as well as other German imprints like Chain Reaction. It was also deeply inspired by the profound experience of losing his father.

Since then, the Spanish maestro has consistently excelled, with subsequent releases on labels like Curle Recordings, Desolat, Culprit, Einmusika, Moodmusic, Endless, and through his very own Seven Villas and Avantroots imprints. Pablo has also lent his remixing prowess to a notable array of artists, including Gui Boratto, Mario Basanov, When Saints Go Machine, Gorge, Parov Stelar, and Juana Molina, to name just a few.

Outside of music production, the gifted Spaniard has built up a reputation for his meticulously crafted DJ performances, combining his own mesmerising Techno cuts with records unearthed from his regular excursions crate digging as well as from other artists such as Floating Points, Soulphiction, I:Cube and Vakula – modern names that he is a big personal fan of.

Although it feels kind of heavy to be posting about music these days, one of the best part of my year is sharing this mix with everyone. These mixes have been a yearly tradition since 2008, and this one is defiantly among my very favourites. I’ve decided to go back to my roots a bit with this one, with lots of 90’s influenced music from the likes of Matthias, Masalo, Jamie Leather, Sally C, Spray, Running Hot, Shanti Celeste, Peach, Juaan, E Talking, Voodoos & Taboos, Theo Kottis & many others. This year, I’ve taken a different approach, focusing mainly on records from my favorite eras of music: the 90s and early 2000s. The tracks included in this mix are ones I would’ve played at almost any point over the past 17 years since I started playing music. I hope you enjoy it

After 16 years of dancefloor-driven music, his debut album Azimuth explored ambient and cinematic realms, reflecting his passion for music as a tool for inner discovery. With performances in 50+ cities across 30+ countries, Kora continues to share his deep, emotive sound worldwide.

On this Balance Selections mix, the Canadian artist delivers a beautiful mix of organic, deep and dubby house. Featuring tracks from Sven Weismann, Nicola Cruz, Hernan Cattaneo & Simply City and more, this mix is equal parts soothing and grooving.

TURK’S AND CACÀOS

Hard to believe that another year has flashed by so quickly. 2015 was probably my best year music wise. I got to travel a lot, visit some amazing places and meet a lot of great people. So as per usual i would like to share with you all my year mix for 2015. This one proved to be a bit of challenge for me. I’ve been working on the tracklist since last February and i just couldn’t make the mix flow the way that i wanted. I’ve reached a point where i was about to scrap the whole thing and just spare myself all the trouble. Luckily i came across these 4-5 tracks towards the end of the year, that ultimately acted as the foundation and I’ve managed to build the whole mix around them. A big thank you to everyone who’s been a part of my 2015, it was such a defining year for me and I’m very thankful for everything i have in my life. Anyway, i hope you guys enjoy my take on 2015 :) x

Hisham Zahran - Year Mix [2015]

Joe Miller is an English-born beatmonger, influenced in equal measure by heaving clubs, and the earthy melancholy of forests. 
He grew up in Australia, where he learned to craft sets that are whimsical and left-field, evoking a sense of place. In 2013 he delivered us one of the most exquisite mixes you will ever find, a beautiful pastiche of tracks new and old expertly weaved together. Since then Joe has released music on labels ranging from All Day I Dream (alongside Jamie Stevens) to Manual Music and much more. Make sure to watch out for his upcoming release on our own Dawn Till Dusk imprint. 
As expected, Joe’s mix is an adventurous 44 track narrative that will keep you hooked from start to finish.
