This is the last version of the program written in Java. I actually wrote the software five years ago, but never got around to properly finish it. Now I did, and I tested it with this track.

A new feature in version 1.2 is the ability to start and stop patterns with MIDI notes. For this track there's two way MIDI communication between Ableton Live and the Euclidean Pattern Generator:

One MIDI track in Ableton Live sends MIDI notes to the pattern generator. The notes start and stop patterns. Each Euclidean pattern is triggered by a different note pitch, so all notes together form a song arrangement.

The rhythms that the patterns generate are also MIDI notes. They are sent back from the Euclidean Pattern Generator to Ableton Live on different MIDI channels. So that each pattern plays it's own instrument on a separate track in Ableton Live.
