Masters of Hardcore is a Dutch hardcore event that was first held on July 1, 1995 in the sports halls of Almere under the name Doomsday - Masters of Hardcore. At the time, this party was organized by A&A events, which stood for Attalos & Airpeace. This organization was run by the DJ King Matthew. A&A was later renamed 'Almere & Art'. Now it's Art Of Dance

Around this time, Masters of Hardcore also released their first release on the label, produced by DJs Bass-D & King Matthew, Rob Gee & DJ J.D.A.

In 1998, the popularity of hardcore in the Netherlands declined and the hardcore music movement became underground again. This meant that many organizations no longer saw anything in the music and dropped out. Masters of Hardcore was one of the few parties that continued to exist and also continued to program only real hardcore music.
In 2002 hardcore experienced another revival. This resulted in the Masters of Hardcore event getting bigger and eventually becoming too big for the Hemkade.

Since the year 2002, Hemkade 48 and event organization A&A events have joined forces to organize all events together under the name Art of Dance.

When I created the Redneck Rave set for Doomcore, I was not sure if it would be dark enough for their liking-- so I also created a backup set just in case.  This backup called Doom & Boom is dark and unsettling.  Turned out they wanted to use both sets!

Enjoy a glimpse into an unwanted future that at least still has stellar beats!

This is a creepy dark set with a stalker theme-- the yang to the yin of the bright holiday season.  Don't be fooled by the starting track-- there is no Christmas music in the meat of this set. 

This set is like nothing else I've done.  I focused on Doomcore Records tracks-- doomcore music is dark, slamming hard, complicated, and beautiful, but also a bit slow (105 to 150 bpm) compared to my normal speeds (180 to 280). 

I paired the doomcore with old school terror & cheapcore tracks (DOA, Temper Tantrum, C-Tank), and a few current gems including some haunting music out of NY by a band called Gravelhands.

So pull up a chair to the fire, turn OFF the Christmas music, and enjoy this holiday treat I mixed especially for you.

To celebrate our 2-year anniversary, we asked the Hit 'n Run crew to collaborate with us, by throwing a big party using both rooms at the massive Paard van Troje venue. 

The Hit 'n Run crew is known for throwing awesome party's for the last eight years. They don't stop at fixing a venue and booking some dj's, they put a lot of effort building a proper stage. Also, they don't just 'book some DJs', there's a lot of thought and love going into their progressive line-ups. 
The Hit 'n Run crew has been a huge example and inspiration to Bassfaced and we are really excited too create a party with them. Can't miss out on this one people!

Vallen @ Bassfaced invites Hit 'N Run 25-09-2015

Collision is one of those guys from the underground whose involvement stretches far beyond DJing. He started spinning vinyl as early as 1999, mainly playing tekno and darkcore, but he’s also great at playing oldskool records from the early 90s. Nowadays he's wellknown for his output on OBS.CUR and its many sublabels, but he's also been responsible for merging a variety of underground sounds at his legendary Korps Mekanik parties, which perfectly embody Collision's taste in music. His releases, more than often, reach the #1 position in the top sellers list of various vinyl shops, because of his steady stream of producing high quality music.
