ANGELS DUST is producer Psychopop & singer Flavia. In June 2015 HIT+RUN released their mesmerizing debut EP 'Slow Tapes' [HNR48], six moody songs swathed in grainy reverb and dense production. Critics praised Angels Dust's hazy sound & haunting vocal stylings, bracketing their psychedelic dream pop alongside Portishead, Broadcast, Mazzy Star & Beach House. 

In Summer 2015, four vocal tracks were passed to select producers (Dntel, Elusive, Tenshun, Esgar, Coto, Mystery Cave, Walter Gross, Giovanni Marks, Citizen Ten, Sinking Swimmer, Graveline, Gato & Chitlins) to reinterpret in their own method.

The consequence of these inspired individuals is "Musings" [HNR59] a 16+ song compilation album featuring eleven remixes, four unreleased songs and a rare live track. 

Available on limited-edition slimline cd containing the BONUS Music Video for "Funeral" Directed by Thomas McMahon.

Gorgeous modern funk reworking of the classic J DILLA track "Airworks" by LEONARD CHARLES (with new heartfelt vocals performed by GEORGIA ANNE MULDROW and RUBY WALSH). Taken from the new album "Basement Donuts" [HNR60] with Sides A & B out now digitally through HIT+RUN.

Down in picturesque Auckland, New Zealand, tucked inside a small basement studio, musician Leonard Charles and his friends secretly paid the ultimate tribute to the seminal release by re-recording the entire 31-track album on live instruments. Charles gives a funky reinterpretation of the tracks on live bass, drums, Hohnor clavinet, Fender Rhodes and Roland synths, but sans any sampling of the original source nor sourced material. Featuring vocals by Ruby Walsh, Anji Toy and Very Special Guest Georgia Anne Muldrow on the emotional tribute "Airworks (Forever)".

Leonard Charles "Basement Donuts" will be released in two Volumes...Sides A & B are fifteen tracks running over 23-minutes in length available now for digital download exclusively on the HIT+RUN Bandcamp page. Look for Sides C & D to be released on April 11th, 2016 limited-edition Cassette tapes, plus more surprises as we keep J Dilla's brilliant star shining!
