Devil07 is a classic Roland TR-707 drum machine instrument and much, much more! It is a re-programming of the Diabolical Devices modification that augments the TR-707 with limitless sound potential. With close to 600 individual samples, and 21 banks of sounds, Devil07 will take you to places that the original 707 could never come close to.
The TR-707 used for this library was completely upgraded by master circuit bending technician Diabolical Devices. Using a system of patches and switches, each "bent" sound was explored and all of its expressions captured with high resolution a/d conversion. The library includes an enormous collection of "Mechanical", "Bitpitched", "Shorted" and "Rusted" sounds all categorized into individual banks.

Made a re-routing yesterday again, starting off with the build of a versatile kick-routing:
Intellijel Quadra is being used to generate 3 different envelopes to control pitch of oscillator II, borg-filter and pitch of noisering.
The triangle wave of the richter oscillator II is being directly routed to the intellijel planar to serve as a "basebone" basskick.
The normal square output and the phase modulated outputsof the richter oscillator II are going into an A-151 sequential switch, being controlled by triggers from a trigger riot and from there are send to a bitcrusher and a RS-180 VCA which serves as a ringmodulator (being modulated by the melody oscillators).
A fourth basskick-channel is being created by a malekko noisering.
Then the intellijel planar is used to mix the four channels together, while the XY inputs are being modulated by a tempo synced and basskick-trigger synced vermona fourmulator LFO.
The planar then sends it to the borg filter and from there it's off to the distortion input of the hexinverters mutant bassdrum for some sweet-ass distortion. smile-emoticon
From there it's being send out to the channel 1 output of the modular synthesizer, going through an EQ and then into the akai MFC-42 mono-input.
Next to the kickrouting, the trigger riot is also playing some claps/snares and hihats from the hexinverters clap and hihat modules and a basimilus iteritas for cymbals (the outgoing volume of that module is way too low!) and some melodic/glitching/cross-modulating oscillators (lunar modular centre. These are all mixed together and send through a echophon, erbeverb and then into a schippmann VCF-02 input 1 (except for the clap/snare, which goes directly to the schippmann filter's input 2 so it's not made too fuzzy by the effects, then again, the nord modular G2 fx totally destroy the sound afterwards anyway..but anyhow)
From here the percussion/melody/glitch channel is being send to the output 2 of the modular synthesizer, also going through some EQ-ing and into the modular G2 after which it goes to the akai MFC-42 stereo input to be mixed with the kick-channel and is "ready" to be recorded ("ready" as in, my dominator compressor/limiter was doing kinda weird, so I took it out..frown-emoticon )
The nord modular G2 has several multi-FX parts in it to glitch the hell out of the incoming audio. The first two stages are mono-FX processing of 8 FX each (4 fx at same the time, which can be switched with 4 other effects), which have velocity control for:
-FX-parameter modulation when an FX is triggered
-FX-order, which can be any order...delay->dist->trem or dist->trem->del etc
-FX-2nd effects, switching the 4 effects with 4 others
-FX modulation, adds a LFO/oscillator modulation to the FX.
The third stage is a granular FX with vowel filter and ringmod (3 inter-modulating triggers and velocity control.)
The last stage of FX are several stereo effects to influence the panning/stereo field.
Then it goes through some final polishing (EQ-ed sidechain compressor to compress high frequencies more then low frequencies) and being send out the the akai MFC-52
well...there it is....
