~ Anyone who knows me well will tell you that I'm a huge fan of Radiohead and Thom Yorke's music.
I loved their new album so much and especially the "Present Tens" track that I couldn't resist to make some music with it.

I wish I had the separated stems to make it even better but I guess Thom do not check his mailbox that often  ;)

'PURGE' is the debut album by Dis Fig. While the New Jersey born, Berlin-based artist is best known for her relentless and downright brutal DJ sets, this work comes in at a much different trajectory – an exploration of her own vulnerability through varying degrees of noise, vocal migrations, and orchestral composition. 

“'PURGE' is about confronting the feelings which you have been avoiding. Consciously or subconsciously. Feelings you want to be feeling or “should” be feeling but you can’t because your body won’t let you. Because maybe it knows it’s not safe for you.  

It’s when you reach that moment which makes your brow furrow because your chest is getting hot and something is about to erupt. When the feeling starts crawling up your neck, choking you, and you could try to make it stop but maybe it’s better for you if you don’t. When what comes out is painful - it’s tragic, it’s crippling. But with it comes a sliver of beauty. It’s burning and it’s stunning. 

When it’s over, you may learn by staring at the embers.”

Jacek Sienkiewicz “BTWN” (Recognition SP-04)

“BTWN” is a companion album to “IMOW”, an album which Sienkiewicz considers his most personal work to date. In fact, it goes even further in revealing the artist’s creative process, appearing like pages from a self-penned diary.

“BTWN”, or “between” is as much a document of creative process as personal life; life between recording sessions, performances, travels, between places and people.

“BTWN” is a record made from sonic debris, studio litter, accidental noises and glitches. It’s a wildlife documentary, treating studio as a living organism, with its sometimes purposeful, sometimes erratic behaviour. The majority of material here was sourced from feedbacks, cracks and random noises filling the space between recordings, from casual loops and unexpected hang-ups and little malfunctions.

Jacek Sienkiewicz took some time to roughly organise these small pieces of everyday life and indeed turned this chaos into work of unparalleled beauty.
