"Into The Light"  Wild Orchids

A basic remix of my old band Riffs 1986. I came across the old 16 track 2" reel and converted the tracks for use in my presonus work station. I'll probably redo some guitar on this because the tape actually deteriorated over time. Also will try to help out the drums a bit.

This is a great live take of Lee Houk, Dave Turner and Jeremy Nolan playing Stone in Love at Curleys. All vocals muted. Mistakes and all! :)
The guitar parts in this song are based off of a live Journey show, when Neal used a Les Paul with a Floyd Rose tremolo. I had to emulate that with no tremolo system on my Les Paul.
Les Paul stock - CustomShop 5 Quilt Tangerine Burst. The guitar amp is a Fractal Axe FXII direct to board.  Mesa 2:90 and Mesa 2-12 recto cabinet are live to the stage for my personal monitor. All the guitar effects come from the Fractal AxFXII. 

I will be releasing this song again soon, but with the vocals from my long time buddy who has a great Steve Perry voice that comes natural to him.

The Whirlwind

Hitherside is a part American, part Belgian  Female Fronted  Hard Rock band based in Antwerp, Belgium. The band consists of vocalist, Jennifer, bassist Joshua, guitarist/multi-instrumentalist, Sam and drummer Steve.
They turn heads with their infectious, Modern  Rock songs that contain amazing guitar riffs, textures and memorable melodies with big doses of lush harmonies mixed in.
Hitherside began in late 2011 as a musical duo with just Jennifer and Sam. In essense, they were an internet band who were writing, recording and producing their own original Rock songs and videos. They landed an endorsement deal with PreSonus Audio Electronics (http://www.presonus.com/community/artists/Hitherside) with the release of their debut single/video, ‘Insignificant Other’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66E_uvonMig) .  From then on, the group started building a strong international fan base.  PreSonus quotes that “Hitherside is a radio-ready, Alt-Rock, one-two punch that explores the dichotomy of heavy guitars paired with female vocals. The result is intense, emotional and highly listenable music”.  In the summer of 2012, Sam and Jennifer were chosen to perform an acoustic version of ‘Insignificant Other’ on a local television music station called GumTV. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZSb8vLxrSw) After creating six songs, the duo rounded up three other musician friends from Sam’s former bands to play a few live gigs. Sam and Jennifer then decided to go back into their studio to focus on polishing their sound and to write more music.
Later in 2013, the duo started their search for other talented and highly motivated musicians to form a new line up in order to play live. This feat proved longer and more difficult than imagined. However, the search for a 5-string bassist ended a year later when Joshua joined the band. A few months later, Hitherside finally found Steve, a very talented and driven drummer that they had always wanted.
All music is recorded in our project studio using mainly PreSonus gear.
