Matija is a well-travelled gentleman: From the Aargau province, where he took his first (and second) musical steps, he was drawn to the street jungle of the German capital Berlin, where he stayed for 6 years and deepened his craft. Together with his then roommate Dave Dinger, he moved around the houses and rocked clubs like Bar25 etc. with him.
And if you make it in Berlin, you take little Zurich by storm: Matija set out to conquer the Swiss scene metropolis after his return. With success: After party series in the supermarket, Hive (and other clubs) he worked for years as a night manager in the Zurich Hive Club and still continues to play in this one as a resident.
As a former night manager of Gonzo, Frieda's Büxe and Hive, he has now been on the road as a DJ for 23 years throughout Switzerland and often internationally, among others with Dave Dinger. With his sets he always provides that certain treat on the dancefloors.

Im Jahr 2004 haben Fabian und Galal das DJ-Team GLEICHSCHRITT ins Leben gerufen. Der Name symbolisiert die gemeinsame Entdeckungs- und Erlebnisreise in der Welt der elektronischen Musik. Die beiden DJs haben ihre Leidenschaft für diesen Sound schon früh entdeckt und teilen diese Energie gerne mit ihrem Publikum. Doch GLEICHSCHRITT bietet noch weit mehr: dank ihrer Aufgeschlossenheit und ihrem breit gefächterten Interesse an verschiedenen Styles ist jeder Gig ein unvergleichliches, einzigartiges Erlebnis.
Anfangs spielte GLEICHSCHRITT vorwiegend in kleineren Pubs in und um Zürich, doch bald eroberten Sie auch die DJ-Pulte der bekannteren Clubs wie dem Hive (Resident), Q-Club, Kaufleuten, Supermarket, Alte Börse, Mascotte und der ehemaligen Dachkantine. Neben zahlreichen Untergrundparties fanden auch Gigs im Ausland statt, zum Beispiel auf Ibiza und in Barcelona (Spanien), München (Deutschland) und Hurghada (Ägypten).
An den Annual Swiss Electronic Music Awards 2006 wurde GLEICHSCHRITT der “Best Newcomer DJ of the Year 2006”-Award verliehen.
GLEICHSCHRITT hat sich inzwischen zwei Labels angeschlossen, die perfekt zu ihnen passen: Grundton, ein auf Kenner fokussiertes Label, und ESANCE, das sich auf spezielle und innovative Grooves mit dem „gewissen Etwas“ spezialisiert hat.
Doch das ist natürlich längst nicht alles! GLEICHSCHRITT hält auch für die Zukunft noch die eine oder andere Überraschung bereit, nicht zuletzt im Bereich der Eigenproduktion. Also: Bleibt im Gleichschritt und stay tuned!
