November 23rd marks the 20th Anniversary of Snoop Dogg’s highly-acclaimed Doggystyle, in which his lyrical realism and distinctive vocal flow forever changed hip-hop and helped define the genre into what it is today.

In honor of this date, Snoop has created an enticing mixtape of the samples used on Doggystyle. Never done before, Snoop offers exclusive commentary about each song and the behind-the-scenes stories that went on during the making of the historic record. The mixtape offers fans a once-in-a-lifetime experience to hear first-hand, the creative process behind the record.

It was an infatuation with electronic music from a young age that sparked the beginning of Nick Berry’s DJ career in the Sydney scene back in 2014.

Since then, Berry has made a name for himself through his acute deviation from what is expected, playing uniquely melodic music punctuated by an eclectic mix of deep house and techno - influenced by the 90’s rave and progressive trance era. Fast forward to present day and Nick Berry has shared lineups with DJ Koze, Oliver Koletzki, Andhim, and Gerd Janson to name a few.

“Any experience, whether musical or not, at Burning Man always has something unique and special about it. Even though it happens every year, no two are ever the same. In fact, as it becomes a tradition, there’s a sense of trust and expectation that makes the moment always breathtaking. That’s exactly how I feel about my performance at Pink Mammoth. I truly feel like part of the family — because of the way they treat me and how deeply connected I feel to this tribe.

This year, two magical things happened during the gig. First, the arrival was epic. I had to cross the playa during one of the biggest dust storms I’ve seen at Burning Man in my eight years there. At times, it literally turned to night. My friends, despite being completely exhausted on Sunday and facing harsh conditions, didn’t let anything stop them from showing up to support me. Amazing!

Second, a mix-up in the set times caused my session to overlap with the wonderful Sinca's. Neither of us were big fans of doing a B2B, especially since we hadn’t built a prior connection, and it was the first time we were meeting! But the connection was instant, and the magic unfolded as we synced through music from the very first second, feeling completely at ease throughout the process.

With Wolvenroedel (Dutch for Wolfpack) we've been throwing parties for five years now, and we always believed in giving the stage to talented friends and friends of friends. With this new Radio Show we're launching an extra platform for that. One of our favorite dj's from the start is  @vero_djofficial, from Amsterdam. She'll take it away for this first edition. Imagine yourself in a record shop. A seven year old girl alone is entering the store. You might even be more surprised to see that girl is buying some records. And to top it all, you are seeing and hearing that same girl a couple of years later, behind the DJ desk of known and famous nightclubs. That is not a fairy tale, but the start of Manon’s first encounters with the “world of music” and the start of her career as one of the first She DJs in Switzerland.

Music has become the most important part of Manon’s life and she has created her social environment around it. Fortunes got her the opportunity to play her first records at her home base at the age of 15. During her professional education in the hospitality industry Manon discovered illegal parties at the “Dampfzentrale” and the “Bluelight” in Berne/Switzerland which awakened her passion about electronic music. The founders of the “Bluelight” opened one of the first House and Techno locations in Berne, called “Aare Bar”. Manon has been managing the bar for the first year. After some travel through South America, Portugal and Marokko, she took over a bar of her parents near Berne. A DJ desk and a new dance bar had replaced some high chairs and tables and an after hour location was born, hosting well-known names from the national and international DJ scene.

Zurich became the mecca of electronic music in Switzerland. Private and professional reasons brought Manon to this city in 1993. Her job at a record shop and her involvement in the legendary after hours at the “Oxa,” in Zurich/Switzerland and the “Tarot Club Grodoonia” in Rumlang/Switzerland influenced her decision to turn her hobby into her profession. Thanks to her first resident job at the “Kaufleuten” Club in Zurich and various gigs at insider parties of friends such as “Dekadance”, Massive Ursive Primitive” and “Supergirls” she established her carrier in the Swiss and later on also in the international DJ scene.

Meanwhile Manon is in the business for over 20 years and is still passionate, very audience centric, perceptive and close to her fans. She has never stopped to evolve her wide range of music be it Chill out, Techno, House, Progressive, Minimal, Deep House, Tech House. So nowadays, depending on dance floor and her mood she mixes electronic dance music. Amazingly she has never re-played a set twice in all these years.

Manuel Moreno zählt zu den grossen Geschichtenerzählern des elektronischen Undergrounds. Als Produzent und DJ nimmt er sein Publikum mit auf eine Reise, die inspiriert ist von seiner langjährigen Beziehung zur Musik. Einer Amour fou – intensiv, leidenschaftlich und kompromisslos. Diese Gefühlswelt transportiert er seit Jahren erfolgreich auf die Tanzflächen.

Seine eigene Geschichte beginnt 1996 mit illegalen Aufnahmen aus Zürcher Clubs. Rhythmus, Groove, Lichter und tanzende Menschen verbinden Spass mit tiefschürfenden Emotionen. Heute ist er selbst prägender Bestandteil dieser Verbindung. Ob nun in seiner Homebase, der Zürcher Club-Institution «Hive», oder bei seinen regelmässigen Auftritten in der Techno-Metropole Berlin: Manuel Moreno versucht stets diese magischen Impulse zu erzeugen, die Stunden auf der Tanzfläche in spezielle und bleibende Momente verwandeln.

«Die Kommunikation mit dem Publikum ist mir besonders wichtig», sagt Manuel. Dabei spiele es keine Rolle, ob 30 oder 5000 Menschen tanzen würden. «Wenn ich das Gefühl habe, eins zu werden mit dem Publikum, ist es für mich ein erfolgreicher Auftritt.»

Diesem Gefühl jagt er rund um den Globus nach. Sein unverkennbarer, atmosphärischer Stil bringt ihn, um einige Metropolen zu nennen, nach Bangkok, Moskau, Kiew, Lissabon, Ibiza, Prag und Kapstadt.

Den Ausgleich findet Manuel Moreno in der Ruhe seiner Appenzeller Heimat. Umgeben von der malerischen Bergkulisse lässt er sich für seine Produktionen inspirieren: Düster und doch verträumt, geprägt von einer hypnotisierenden Melancholie. Seine Tracks und Remixe erscheinen auf «Global Underground», «Ritter Butzke Studio», «8Bit», «Hive Audio», «Musik Gewinnt Freunde», «Stil vor Talent» usw.

Beim Produzieren verfolgt Manuel Moreno einen spielerischen und forschenden Ansatz. Er beginnt mit einem Beat, der schichtweise um weitere Soundebenen ergänzt und weiterentwickelt wird, bis am Ende eine komplexe Klangwelt entsteht. Dabei bleibt er stets dem tiefen Berlinsound verpflichtet. Gleichzeitig wirken seine Produktionen so klar wie die Bergluft im Alpstein.
