R.EK pushes boundaries with KNOTEN and creates new possibilities!
The unconventional music/techno producer and live performer R.EK wants to combine
music and art, and in order to achieve that, he has launched KNOTEN. In the last two
years, he’s been focusing on his live set and his own productions “N.T.E”, “Hold It”, “Krills” and “Waiting”, “Feys” which has been released on his own label KnotenMusic so far.

R.EK mich Fett. Wir bekommen Besuch aus Zürich! Der regelmässig gebuchte HIVE DJ hat Bock auf die Stadt die es nicht gibt und liefert eine allererste Sahne Ton Terrine ab. Zartbitter, wie wir es von den Schweizern ja eh und je gewohnt sind. Der (ex) Bih’tnik DJ & Beatboxer ist tief im HipHop verwurzelt gewesen und hat sich nach der goldenen 90er Ära, neue ambitionierte Ziele gesteckt und konnte sich für das elektronische Auflegen und Live-spielen begeistern. 

R.EK produziert und betreibt seit kurzer Zeit sein eigenes Label R.EKCHords um sein Klangwerk, das die Weiten des Basement-House, Melodic-Progressive und Techno erforscht, zu verbreiten. Seine Live- und DJ- Sets brachten den Hive Club immer wieder zum Schwitzen. Ob ein Opening Dj-Live Set “L’Ouverture du Bale” oder ein Maintime DJ-Live Set “Le Bale” wie R.EK sie nennt, er findet immer den passenden Track um die Stimmung auf dem Floor zu steigern.

unique sound. The berlin based dj varies between deephouse and techhouse, between techno and
progressive house. This mirrors aswell in his succesful releases on Einmusika Recordings, Heinz Music,
Steyoyoke or Click Records.
In his energetic set’s he transports a very close atmosphere to the dancefloor. No surprise that you can find
him behind the decks of well-known festivals like SonneMondSterne, Feel Festival or Plötzlich am Meer.

Bio:
Borella is a Toronto based DJ and producer known for her melodically dynamic sound that mostly falls on
the darker side.
She took her very first music lessons at the age of 5. Later on at the age of 12 she took her first guitar
lessons and pursued with classical and Spanish training.
Her love for electronic music developed in her teens. After digging in the underground scene for a few
years, Borella found herself drawn to the deeper journey-like sounds that spoke a slightly more complex
language than others.

Q: Talking about your mix, your roots: How did these tracks change your life? What do they still mean to you?

A: These are still some of our favorite tracks that have been giving us goose bumps for over 5 years. That is when Lunar Plane was born, so these tracks had a big impact on our sound.

Q: Regarding your current DJ sets, would you still mix in some of your classics?

A: Yes, we do like to play some classics from time to time. They definitely spice things up!

Q: Which exciting new LP projects are coming soon?

A: We're currently working on around 10 original tracks, so expect to see some dance-floor killers soon.
