Joaquin Ruiz, is a talented techno producer and DJ from the west side of Buenos Aires.

Owner of atmospheric and hypnotic sound mixing the physical and mental plane, giving versatility and heat into the dancefloor, this is a set recorded in Berlin during his last visit when he was also performing at Kit-Kat Club.

He is always looking for new challenges and opportunities, touring regularly through Colombia, Chile, Peru, Spain, Germany, France, Finland, among others.

Supported by renowned artists most of his music is played by DVS1, Ben Sims, Richie Hawtin, Dax J, Slam, Eric Cloutier, Tripeo and several more.

He has shared booth with Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Rebekah, Truncate, SHDW & Obscure Shape, Jonas Kopp, UVB, among others.

Edited on labels as Dynamic Reflection, Axis Records, Knotweed, Children of tomorrow, Inherencia and his own Label West Rules.

Techno veterans, Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell, have been releasing music together for over 20 years on many of the genre's most established and notable labels, and here we are in the year 2023 seeing their first definitive techno album on Recorded Things. 

Label owners Oliver Rosemann and Sebastian Rothermel approached Alexander & Mattias with the proposition to make an album for their label, and after heartfelt conversations about it, everyone concluded that their ideas aligned, both conceptual and musical and that it was time to set a plan for it in motion. True to their nature, Alexander and Mattias provide their signature sound in album form; efficient rhythmical work-outs & stern, yet playful synth sequences that sometimes bear the mark of classic techno, and other times take unexpected directions. All in a package that presents an uncommonly energetic album, with no fillers or pauses. There is just one direction, from start to finish.

Berlin’s experienced music maestro MSDMNR puts together his latest track pack of four original works given the title Decypher which is his first release of 2023 following a killer remix for Mutecell.

As an artist, MSDMNR has released on top labels like Jonas Kopp’s TREMSIX, Coyu’s Suara and Ricardo Garduno’s Illegal Alien as well as putting out his debut album last year that impressed us greatly with a wealth of high quality productions.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track “End” that has a rough and ready aesthetic. Gritty layers of crunching static combine with haunting waves of smoke-like atmosphere all set and guided by a jabbing kick and flickering hi-hats to make an ethereal, analogue experience.
