like the days of old mostly from the radio shows 
with disc jocks playing music mixes.

the 1st chapter is from the definitive days of 
house music from Traxx playing from the 
early 80s,90s and today from vintage and 
out of print  record labels trax, jes say and 
dancemania to multiple boyd jarvis and
timmy regisford productions but also 
material from Delroy Edwards, Steve Summers,
Modern Analysis and new material.

many thought this type of sound would never 
come again but we’ve been giving hints over 
the years that we hope this will give people 
the chance to listen to music many may have 
never heard on this side of sound that provides 
a provocative and thoughtful musical workout 
in your mind..

Such an honor to be able to share this guest mix from Paul Smith - @pabloski - of the incredible Likemind Record. A label that put out 4 releases in the mid 90's, 4 releases that have cultivated a legacy greater than most labels of the time. With releases from the mythical Nuron, Stasis, Redcell/B12 & Black Dog, Paul & Likemind was truly ahead of the time and we are happy to have him involved. Also his mix is fucking incredible, proper journey vibe, highly highly recommend listening through.

In an interview from 2017, DJ Richard mentioned how he and Young Male originally thought the idea of pressing more than 150 copies of White Material 01 and 02 might be just a tad too much, jokingly expressing that they were going to still have copies left over when they were on tour like five years later. What they got was cult status, with demand outstripping supply in the first year more than they could ever have imagined. With the label having now wound down to a close, their tenth and final release a debut album from Galcher Lustwerk, DJ Richard has continued to forge a path that's more certain, fined tuned and propagating in textures and tension. His two albums for Dial, Grind and Dies Iræ Xerox are good examples of this, flirting emotively through subtle moods and melodic optimism. With the recent release of a new record called Eraser on Berlin-based label Flexxeal, we caught up with the producer to talk albums, homesickness for the coastline, and long somber drives through the White Mountains influencing his music. His Truancy Volume, recorded in a underground warehouse space in Philadelphia called the Sprinkler Room, is an hour long mix of contemporary artists and labels that are currently inspiring him.

Melbourne based label @papercutslimited join us for Butter Mix 91 with a fresh blend of tripped out and intelligent electronics mixed by label head Dylan Batelic! The  relatively new imprint kicked off their catalogue with a brave flexi disc (!) release in 2017 and have since graced us with releases by Hybrid Man, Furious Frank, Rings Around Saturn etc etc. Keep an ear out for some more brain tingling releases in the future no doubt!
