Short info:
"Silent Words" is a mirror of Sebastian Porter himself and how he creates most of his tracks. It is a journey of soundelements which wander and coordinate themselves. Like in every journey there are dark times with dark drudgery but also light, cracked open moments full of enlightenment. But it all makes sense after you look at the whole picture. You have to pay full attention while listening to these tracks to really feel them. The rhythm contains a lot of single sound fragments and percussive details inside each other which create an interesting sound. At the same time, those details create the essential contrasts in this story. The story of Sebastian Porter!
“Rolling Boy” and “Wild Wendy” on the other hand are much more direct, vigorus, clear and with focus. A wonderful addition to the first track because you know how you feel when you took a journey through yourself, excactly like this!

“Silent Words” ist ein Spiegelbild von Sebastian Porter selbst und davon, wie er an die meisten seiner Tracks und auch Sets herangeht. Es ist eine Reise von Soundelementen, die wandern und sich gegenseitig dirigieren. Wie bei jeder Reise gibt es dunkle Phasen mit tiefer Schufterei und helle, aufbrechende Momente voller Erleuchtung. Sinn macht am Ende aber alles nur, wenn man es im Gesamtbild betrachtet und so entfaltet auch dieser Track die volle Wirkung erst dann, wenn man ihm in seiner Gänze die volle Aufmerksamkeit schenkt, sich ihm von Anfang bis Ende widmet. Rhythmisch greifen eine Menge einzelner Soundfragmente und percussive Details ineinander, die ein interessantes Klangbild erzeugen und alle nötigen Kontraste schaffen die eine Geschichte ausmachen. Sebastian Porters Geschichte!
“Rolling Boy” und “Wild Wendy” sind da wesentlich direkter, energetisch, klar und fokussiert. Eine prima Ergänzung zum ersten Track, denn wer einmal durch sich selbst gereist ist weiß, wie man sich am Ende fühlt, nämlich genau so!

Beta Evers: One evening in fall 2015 I suddenly had a melody in my mind. I did not want to forget it, went to my equipment, created sounds and arranged a raw version. I wanted to add lyrics in German language and started to search for classic poems. I read Goethe, Hölderlin, Heine, but then I found that poem of Stefan George (from his book "Der siebente Ring", 1907) and was fond of it. I recorded the vocals and sent everything to Jeff, who worked out the arrangement further.

Jeff Gallea: Black Pond had developed into an amazing project. Beta and I wanted to have something a bit different for a 4th song. She had some great synth lines and German poem worked into a song idea. The energy was intense so the beats and sounds got harder and faster. The result was a dance floor banger with an industrial edge to it. I placed bass guitar lines between her vocal lines and really loved the effect. Unfortunately I don't speak German so I had no idea what she was singing! I just went with the feel of her voice.

After receiving so much hype around the release of their recent single, Wet My Tongue, Danish electro-pop duo going by the name of Feel Freeze are set to break waves in the UK whilst continuing their successful rise back in Denmark. Scandinavian music is a treasure trove for new talent and Feel Freeze are the perfect example of this, following in the footsteps of the likes of The Knife and Lykke Li- there are big things coming for this dreamy pop pair. The duo consisting of Mathias Vinther Liholt and Raymonde Gaunoux have received praise for their memorable live performances, supporting the likes of Thomas Dybdahl and Cymbals Eat Guitars. 

Their latest single, Give Me Your Heart, is a Work Drugs-esque indie pop track, with a touch of glo-fi. Whilst the piece takes a different turn to their previous single, it completely confirmed that Feel Freeze’s spectre of sound is wide and varied, with Summer Heart sonic similarities. Lyrically, the track gives out wonderfully uplifting, feel good vibes – with the lyrics “You’re not asleep, you’re deeply awake” guaranteed to be stuck in your brain all day.
