Islyz is a graphic and type designer, as well as a calligrapher, who creates the album covers for Bardouin Music.
When it comes to music, she mainly draws inspiration from the UK scene, as seen in her recent releases on Tsunami Recordings, Blue Night Jungle, Le Ciel, and Reptilian Business Records. Her sets offer a diverse mix of post-club and deconstructed music, catchy breaks, and laid-back rhythms, as well as introspective tunes with darker and more industrial sounds.

For its tenth release, 909 Connection is back with a 5-track EP based on an original concept. Taking Swooh's track Artificial Limbo as a starting point, 4 producers followed one another, each appropriating elements from the previous artist to create a cascade of remixes. 

After an ambient intro Patriarchal Himbo, produced by Islyz, builds to a powerful dancehall rhythm, culminating in a breakcore/IDM climax.

Max Dahlhaus - Ninsei Lane [OMB008]

Berlin Based audio-visual artist and producer Max Dahlhaus contributes his first debut album on Over My Body with his energetic production along with two remixes by by talented Mars89 & Trngs.

First track "And Then It Whispered" was inspired by the atmospheric visuals of the avant-garde film "Valhalla Rising" by Nicolas Winding Refn. As Max immersed himself in thought-provoking silence of the movie, He let his imagination run wild, resulting in an ambient work that will transport people to introspective realms. Title track "Ninsei Lane." is a challenge for Max to create a cinematic but clubby banger in under three minutes. It was a fun task which to explore new boundaries while keeping the production process fresh.The collaborative track "Chrome Spine."with one another talented artists Kronom @kronombass
, which is crafted a club track that adds a whole new layer to the album. The album also including two remixes by Mars89 & Trngs that bring unique flavors to "Ninsei Lane." Mars89 offers a slow, driving interpretation, weaving a mesmerizing sonic journey that complements the original's atmospheric vibes. On the other hand, Trngs delivers a hard-hitting remix, infusing the track with a punchy and energetic rhythm that's sure to ignite the dance floor.

Max Dahlhaus is a Berlin-based audio-visual artist and producer known for his unique approach to music and visuals. His work blurs the boundaries between contrasts like emotional and abstract, repetition and detail, opulence and minimalism. Dahlhaus' music is cinematic, industrial, and experimental, immersing listeners in a symphony of sound. His meticulous production and mixing techniques are a testament to his expertise in the field. He's also known for his captivating visuals, creating an immersive sensory experience when combined with his music.

In his new mini-album, Viner explores the colonial history of Central Asia. He protests against nostalgia for the "great past" of the USSR and imperialist tendencies, deeply ingrained in the consciousness of the older generation that largely defines the current politics of the region. Being clearly against and tired of the same-old-same-old tales of how marvelous the past was, Viner in his 'Navro'z' calls to question these concepts, examines the anxieties of the present, and explores the possibilities of the future. The title itself hints at a new chapter of post-Soviet countries’ history.

In Zoroastrian tradition, Navro’z is a festival of spring and a symbol of a new beginning, a new life. People who celebrate Navro'z believe that the more good you do on this day, the luckier the year will be. And it's about time we all have a lucky year, for a change.

Meticulous work with composition has turned this dance album into a true blockbuster. Viner, a master of unexpected turns, switches gears from ample emotional moments to fantastic intense choreography of Central Asian rhythms. Epic scenes alternate with harsh slaps and yells, as if reflecting the unstable psyche of the author, who transitions from almost childlike calmness (hello "Boards of Canada") to difficult-to-control rage.

If we go post-colonial, we go full speed and unravel the similarities in the music of the oppressed. Uzbek vocals by Turgan Alimatov, monotonously repeating “nova", sound like a reminder of possible freedom from the metropolis; Asian drums of Naubat sound distinctly Central African. In G'azab feat. Wulffluw XCIV, Uzbek instruments [doyra, kairok, surnai, thunderous qurnai] sound like a potent mix of Paris vogue ball and footwork of the backstreets of Chicago — unabashedly delving into a multi-layered concept without losing its dance dynamics.

As an Asian Russian artist in exile, Viner, through his own experience, has realized that the personal is political and now challenges the widespread escapist belief that music — or any form of art, for that matter — is apolitical. By blending seemingly unmixable music styles, Viner hopes we can navigate the rapids of decolonization smoothly and without violence.
