“Hypnotika” is the new release by Berlin-based producer duo Deorbiting featuring deep house interwoven with 90s reminiscent trance elements. Trance for adults! The title track is peak time deep house with dehumanized vocal fragments at 121 bpm. Next up is the single “Daedalus” at 119bpm, showcasing the duo’s expert skills in layering different rhythms and melodies. The final track “Icarus” delivers downtempo with a warm bassline and trippy synths. For the cover they asked their friend and painter Helena Adamek – she came up with a portrait melting both their heads into one another like yin and yang. This visualises the essence of their music, Deckert & Schilgen always complimenting each other with their ideas.
