I’m just doing laps around the sun,
Biding my time, till my time is done.
I never seem to get anywhere,
But I live my life without a care.

The wind in my hair and the road beneath my feet,
Every town I find’s another soul to meet.
The seasons change, but I just keep moving on,
Singing to the rhythm of the great unknown.

Maybe I’m lost, but I feel so free,
The world keeps turning, that’s enough for me.
No finish line, no race to be won,
Just doing my laps around the sun.

I watch the cities rise, the rivers drift away,
Golden fields of summer roll into autumn grey.
I can’t hold on, but I don’t need to try,
I’m just a traveller in the open sky.

One day the stars will call me home,
Till then I’ll roam and roam and roam.
Laughing at the clock that waits for no one,
I’ll keep on spinning laps around the sun.
