“Mirrors / Tristesse” is a summer album about love, guilt, freedom and the versions of ourselves we try to outrun. Set against the heat of the Mediterranean coast, these twelve songs move through the first sparks of desire, the jealousy and mischief that follow, the quiet tragedies we don’t see until they’re already behind us, and the melancholy that becomes a permanent companion.

Built from a fusion of French chanson, chamber-folk and intimate indie storytelling, the album draws on the emotional architecture of Mirrors — self-interrogation, memory, the stories we perform — and carries it into the sun-drenched world of Bonjour Tristesse.

From the villa above the sea to the Parisian atelier, from the white suit on stage to the final acceptance of tristesse itself, these songs follow the arc of a summer that begins like a lie and ends like a lesson you never stop learning.

A coastal dream darkened by consequence — a sister album to Mirrors, and a chapter in its shadow.

He Symbolises Freedom

“More Than You Know” is a storm-swept R&B confession wrapped in poetic melancholy. The track drifts through the emotional aftermath of loving someone who pulled you into deep waters, only for you to realize you were strong enough to rise back to the surface. With swelling, wave-like production and intimate vocals from Zhy × S.Y.N × Me, the song captures the ache of missing someone, the clarity that comes with distance, and the quiet power of choosing yourself again.

It’s a meditation on kindness as strength, heartbreak as transformation, and the bittersweet truth that sometimes letting go hurts more than holding on more than they’ll ever know.

The song “Steady” by Annabelle Maginnis and Smile High Club featuring Def Sound is a tune about moving fast.  Annabelle speeds through lanes carelessly as they reveal how toxic a rushed life can be.  In Def’s verse, they expand on some of the beauties of connection in stark juxtaposition to the hurried impatience of Annabelle’s first verse.  Finally the two voices converge in the chorus in which the pair displays that the slowness of another person can offer clarity and peace.
