Ryan Buck -- DJ Buckshot -- is no stranger to music and the music scene. He comes from a family that is well versed in the fine arts; his grandfather Irving "Pinky" Pincus, born in 1904, had a successful career as an artist, actor, and musician. His most notable claim to fame was his design of the original Miami Dolphins logo. Both his mother and father are musicians as well -- his mother being a pianist and his father a guitarist.

Since Ryan comes from a long line of talented people, it's no surprise that he falls into the same category. At a very early age, he began learning how to play the piano; he would listen to songs then transpose them strictly by ear. This was the beginning of his passion for music. In middle school, he picked up the clarinet and held a first chair position in the school band for all three years. Through most of his teen years, he played professionally in a number of bands such as Influx, Against The Rest, and Alert 88 rocking out venues up and down the Front Range of Colorado. As a competent drummer, guitarist, and pianist -- Buckshot's musical knowledge is well above average. Music theory, composition, and production are all tools within his arsenal and continue to benefit him to this day.

As a DJ, Ryan is very versatile; he has played sets ranging from 45 minutes to 12 hours. Not only has he had the pleasure of playing great clubs in the Denver/Boulder area (Beta, Norad, Bar Standard, Dickens Opera House, The Speakeasy, and The Catacombs to name a few), but he has also been running a mobile DJ company since 2008.
