Gothenburg raised producer/dj and owner of Trunkfunk Records – @Nibc – is now based in Berlin from where he continues to spread the gospel of deep, dark sounding house with a steady output of successful tracks and remixes that all carry his underground touch.We’re very proud that he wanted to do a mix for the Discobelle mix series and boy did he step up with this one, an amazing mix that’s soulful and fun and also the perfect companion for these indian summer days. He also threw in a couple of exclusives: 2 unreleased remixes for Get Physical & HK Records + a preview of the upcoming Trunkfunk release “Love Lesson” which will be released later this autumn.

We welcome UK-born DJ and producer Samantha Loveridge for the next edition of Beautilism Recordings. Her 90-minute mix offers a retrospective take on melodic house and techno, with subtle touches of indie dance. The uniqueness of what Far&High project does can be described as follows: imagine a track that Solomun, Fisher, Vintage Culture, Dom Dolla, Tale of Us, Blond:ish, Nick Warren, Super Flu can play in their sets. It sounds unrealistic, but Far&High made a track like this. Emerging on the global electronic scene in late 2019, the Far&High project has made a big impact on today's Indie Dance scene from its first tracks. Solomun not only released the project's first release on his label Diynamic, but also named them subsequently as one of the most important electronic projects of their country. All of the tracks released by Far&High made it to the Beatport top-100, which allowed the project to hit the Best Sellers category 4 years in a row starting in 2020. The lead track from their first release on Diynamic, Alone, stayed in the top for over two years in a row. In late 2022, Far&High releases their track, Sans Vetements, which instantly climbs to the very top of Beatport and remains at the top even in 2024. The lead track from their second release on Diynamic Mannequin stayed in the chart for over 210 days, while their collab track with Brigado Crew - 7 - for the album on the Stil Vor Talent label - stayed at the top for over 320 consecutive days. Each of their tracks is a new challenge and a desire to show a slightly different sound, different from what has been done before, while keeping the recognizable imprint of the author. This has always given Far&High a huge support not only among ordinary listeners but also from professionals and very famous DJs. For 4 years of its existence Far&High project has played more than 300 Dj sets in more than 20 countries around the world. More than 25 years of experience on stage allows them to be truly unique DJs with their own special taste and approach to working with the audience.

Far&High @ Melodic Therapy #204 - Russia

Gothenburg-born and now Berlin-based Fredrik Nyberg has long been a key player on Sweden’s music landscape as a producer, DJ and label head of Trunkfunk Records. Near the beginning of his DJ career, within Gothenburg’s early 1990s hip-hop scene, NIBC was inspired to create Claustrophobic Dimension, a pioneering local network for underground music and digital art, spurred on by his growing interest in techno and rave. Within a few years NIBC had fallen for house and leading to him being voted the Best DJ of 2003 by Yo Media and ranked #7 in Scandanavia’s 100 Best DJ’s Poll. Today he is releasing music as NIBC or as projects like Stuffa and Tyken and is taking care of Trunkfunk Records that has evolved into one of Sweden’s most in-demand independent outlets with releases from Hans Berg, Uniforms and Trevor Loveys or remixes by Ian Pooley, Axel Boman, Basic Soul Unit and DJ Assault. After some plans and time, he came back to me and joined Christallization with live recording from the Toy Toy club in Johannesburg, South Africa. Enjoy.
