He found his love for electronic music in the early 2000s, a golden age for House and Techno worldwide, before the internet era changed the game. A pivotal moment came in his early twenties when he moved to London, which allowed him to broaden his horizons, expand his network in the industry, and play at some of the UK’s top clubs. Influenced by house, disco, hip hop, and UKG, his first productions soon followed, gaining continuous support from DJs across the house music scene. Now based in Los Angeles, he regularly performs across the US and Europe, while continuing to expand his discography, which already includes labels such as PIV, Factory 93, Dansu Discs and Range, to name a few. 2025 also marks the launch of Blink, a new label project dedicated to high-quality and forward-thinking House Music.

Though house is her genre of choice, pokka constantly enriches her sound with new material. Her sets take us on sonic journeys into acid, deep, and polyrhythmic beats, and genres such as soul, disco, baile funk, break beat, hiphop and garage. pokka has played sets at festivals like Fusion and Mystic Creatures, countless club gigs, and has earned herself a role in organizing the Detect Classic Festival. She also curates and books events in Leipzig and Berlin.

"The mix is a recording of a club set I played at Leipzig’s Stolen Money Posse event series. It's a very raw and cheerful mix that's also a kind of homage to the origins of electronic dance music and many genres I’m crazy about, such as baile funk, hip hop, bass or minimal. It’s a little rough around the edges, soulful, groovy and full of delight in experimentation. Like a good rave."

Mila Stern’s far over a decade-long career as a DJ and producer has taken her from squat parties in Halle (eastern Germany), where she first learned her craft, through the pulsing motley of Tel Aviv, to her adopted home of Berlin and the epicenter of electronic club culture. Her calm, commanding skill as a selector rapidly made her a sought-after artist, with regular appearances at premier festivals like Fusion, Nation of Gondwana, and Garbicz, and residencies at Berlin’s legendary Kater Club and Station Endlos in Halle. Since then, she’s transcended the boundaries of the Berlin underground, bringing her signature style to the international circuit from Mexico to Kazakhstan. Mila delivers a groove-heavy aesthetic that has recently shifted toward deeper, more focused energies — drawing on restrained propulsion, textured sound design, and subtly evolving rhythms. Her selections now balance minimalism and intensity, rooted in the hypnotic but never stuck in genre constraints. What sets her apart is a willingness to embrace unorthodox sonic spaces, explore the beauty in harshness and dissonance, and embed arresting moments in robust, rolling substructures. From her early days, Mila’s sound has been shaped by a sense of counterculture and the urge to break normative boundaries. Her DJ sets — especially long-form closings — encapsulate a vision of rave culture as expressive, eclectic, and non-judgmental. She continues to draw on risqué, narrative-driven tracks and boldly carves out new territory without compromise — even as the context around her evolves. As a DJ, producer, event organizer, former radio host, and label co-founder, she pushes the envelope while rejecting genre dogma. In 2025, Mila co-founded the label MiZi MuZiK with long-time friend and collaborator Mira—a platform shaped by their shared values of autonomy and artistic integrity. While the label and Mila’s current musical direction follow distinct paths, both are rooted in a deep belief in sound that speaks for itself. Few artists balance deep floor energy with such artistic clarity. Mila Stern continues to evolve her sound while remaining grounded in a rave ethos that challenges paradigms and makes space for what lies ahead.
