Made in India and exported to Berlin almost a decade ago, Claptrap is a DJ and part-time music producer. He is continuously digging for new inspirations, genres, and music, evolving his style and drawing influences from variety of sounds. Deep house, disco, techno, electronica, global bass, afrobeats, acid-house; his DJ sets are a testament to his eclectic taste, creative story-telling, bold track selections, elements of surprise, and most importantly - keeping the groove!



Claptrap's reputation as a versatile DJ has earned him opportunities to perform at renowned festivals such as Fusion Festival in Germany, Colours of Ostrava in Czechia, Afrikaburn in South Africa, The Borderland in Denmark, Utopia and Zugvogel in Germany, Nomad's Festival in the Netherlands, and many others.

Along with DJing and music production, Claptrap's influences ranges from visual arts to sound design. He is constantly evolving his sound and influences that crossover from deep techno to bass heavy electronica to tribal to acid to disco-tinged and feel good that can be heard in his unique DJ sets. Claptrap runs THE LEFTOVERS (Berlin) - a monthly residency/party in the most surreal underground bar/club-based Kleine Reise aka Bassment situated in the heart of the Berlin club and nightlife scene: Kreuzberg!

THE LEFTOVERS programs music NOT confined or restricted to any genres. It varies from downtempo, chill-house, disco, ketapop, bollywood, tollywood, mollywood, acid-house, afro-house, cumbia, house, tech-house, progressive techno, techno with world-music influences and sometimes without.
