Some artists reputation proceed them, and Sébastien Léger is one of those who belong to that highly regarded few. The French DJ and producer lists Daft Punk, Michael jackson and early Chicago house music to Laurent Garnier as his influences. And somehow this all pours out in his emotive music.

'Love Star' is a super cool slab of epicness! A percussive grooved subtle building gem, teasing gently with tinkling arps and washes of warm pads, that are beautifully layered, while clever delays add depth, whist the warmth just keeps on landing. Sophisticated piano keys and cool 80's bassy edged squelchy hits, create a magical musical soundscape of goodness. 

'Umbrella' shows of Seb's deep side, as intricate tripped out melodies sprinkle effortlessly over this swaggering deep basslined gem. A wobbly top line slides in adding heat, as this playful number bounces along nicely! Pads glide in an out and then an analog synth line guides us cooly along the happy path of sunshine.

Lost & Found deliver the long-awaited, highly anticipated remix package for Khen's 'One Day Of Independence' LP this week. It's a stacked line-up on the release with label boss Guy J himself, Lehar, Luca Bachetti, Termoment and rising star Patrice Baumel all turning in their own takes on cuts from the album. Baumel, who's seized major attention with releases on the likes of Kompakt and Anjunadeep over the last year, provides a sleek, smooth, synth-laden roller for the occasion, taking the original track up a notch in intensity. We're very excited to present the remix in full premiere today :)

In the words of the Amsterdam-based producer himself, Baumel explained "I consider Khen one of the most promising new artists in electronic dance music and was blown away by his album. The beauty of “Land of Goshen” lies in his melodic arrangement. I wanted the remix to respect the original and just gave it the club treatment it needed to beam people into outer space.”

An effortless soundscape of the original is turning around light and spacey melodics and resonating beats. Those hazy vocals and dreamy pads add an air of mystery to it. Meandering gently it unfurls its bouncing appeal while tinkling layers expand it depth.

First comes techy and club shaking remix from the Spanish hands of Marc Marzenit. These dark synths, relentless basslines, hypnotic vox and overall  pumping vibe – Marc is destined to turn things into gold as his remix is as compelling as it can get.

While Discomposed does exactly what it says on the tin, derailing original thoughts and giving us a new composition through its sturdy rhythm, chipping away at the preconceived as if flows...
And with his first appearance on Crossfrontier Audio, we welcome Modd. In just short of a year, and in his relatively young career, the DJ and producer has managed to rock-steady with some quality releases on labels that might just ring bells, such as Kindisch and Anjunadeep... now it’s his time to turn Nocturne upside down, and the results of which are floating whirs of excitement riding through on his twist of the original. A fitting moment for a debut.
