HMWL Premiere: Double Touch - El Choclo

French superstar in the making, Obbie joins the label with ‘Golden Linings’ beautifully remixed by Omer Tayar and Omer Bar.

Parisian producer and DJ, Obbie is purveyor of rich harmonies and crisp and warm sounds that transport souls. His live sets are filled with moments of high drama where blankets of melancholia are draped around your shoulders in warm embraces, and his productions are no less eventful.

‘Golden Linings’ opens with groove. Ethereal voices float above the sparse percussion and a warm, homely feeling invites you to stay a while. Sombre piano evokes deep thought as the groove intensifies midway and angelic vocals drift in and out. On remix duties, Omer Tayar and Omer Bar toughen the groove with subtle tribalism and airy pads. Pushing the vocal to the front adds a new dimension.

Phi Phi and Ignace Paepe make a powerful return to Bonzai Progressive with their newest collaboration, Shadowlights. A true icon of the progressive and trance world, Phi Phi continues to inspire with his timeless energy and unwavering commitment to the craft. His partner in sound, Ignace Paepe — Belgian DJ, producer, and actor — discovered his passion for electronic music at just 15, rising through legendary clubs like Cherry Moon before stepping away in 2000. His 2019 comeback marked a renewed vision, merging vinyl and digital approaches while using his artistic voice to promote individuality and creative freedom. Were delighted to welcome this dynamic duo back to the label. The Original Mix gets the release underway, opening with a lush, sweeping pad that sets an immersive tone alongside shuffling hats and a mesmerizing low-end pulse. Punchy kick drums soon cut through the atmosphere as a plucky mid-bass sequence enters, adding weight and drive to the groove. Bedouin was first featured on the label's 2015 Summer Sampler with ‚Flight Of Birds’ helping build their reputation as master music makers. 

Following on from this is their first full EP on All Day I Dream. 
Each track casts its own unique spell. One thing Rami and Tamer know is mood. Opening with 'Straight To The Heart' beauty and hypnotic vibes abound. Sounding as good pitched up as it does at it's patient pace, it's groove ignites the dance floor as well as the heart. 

‚The Way Home’ takes it's time to build textures and layers creating a more somber mood. 

The EP is close out with the vocals of Eric Volta on ‚Sight’, perfectly complimenting the overall mood of the release.
