Goeran Meyer kicks off 2022 with a new EP on his ever-excellent MYR label. Meyer is in a fine run of form that last saw him release two stylish electronic tracks here back in October. They were the latest in a long line of fresh sounds from the German, who has put out more than 30 releases on labels like Tulipa Recordings, Wonnemusik and Fine Beatz but has in recent years focused on his own MYR label. The DJ, producer and live artist is someone who always crafts ever-changing landscapes of audio sculptures that make both physical and emotional impacts. The beautifully deft 'Critical' opens with elegant synths floating way up high above a warm and rolling groove. It is a star-gazing tune that traps you in a thoughtful reverie and keeps on rolling late into the night. 'Difficult' is masterfully melancholic, with sustained chords bringing the emotion as subtle melodies add rays of light. This most widescreen track is spacious yet carefully detailed with sound and offers a different kind of dance floor experience. Keep Asking is another forward-thinking release from this vital German artist.

Julian Stetter on the remix duties. The cologne based DJ and musician is known for his well thought through soundscapes and intelligent arrangements. Theatre compositions, studies at the institute for Music and Dance - this guy surely knows his business. After releasing his debut album „Sky Without Colours“ last year, he now reworked Jakob Mäders „Sun Will Rise“ into an afterhour track for the early morning hours.

About the artist:
Jakob Mäder is a Stuttgart based DJ and producer who also performs live. His musical interest spans across different genres: ambient, disco, house, acid, and sometimes even techno inspired music.
He plays regularly at Romantica, Dresden Bar and some other bars and clubs in Stuttgart. Together with his crew Midnight Service he organises events with artists such as Johannes Albert, Philipp Schultheis or Panthera Krause, just to name a few.

Ranging from reduced ambient to classic house inspired deep house or experimental breakbeat productions, his output as a producer reflects his eclectic taste as a DJ. Besides crafting his very own tracks, cheerful disco edits result from his artistic work every now and then.

He started his own label Constant Change in 2021.

Keecen inaugurates the new Mellom label with an EP that features two new singles and a Henrik Villard remix. The first single arrives on February 4th, the second a week later, and the EP drops on February 25th. Tromsø funk pioneer Keecen flips the frozen tundras of his homeland into super warm and slick house sounds. They come with proper piano melodies and soul samples, killer basslines and plenty of cosmic Scandi-magic. He works under various monikers on Mhost Likely, Full Pupp and Paper Recordings but now steps out on the newly minted Mellom. Opener 'Call Me' is bubbly house funk of the highest order. The slinky drums and aching chords make a fine combo, while choice bass riffs and vocal yelps bring plenty of class to this most heart-warming gem. 'Been Through' has a deeper house vibe with tight, neat drums overlaid with yearning vocal samples that tug at the heartstrings. Add in the seductive chords, and you have a track rich in timeless emotion. Remixer Henrik Villard is one of Norway's most vital artists. He makes feel-good house music with lo-fi textures and groovy bass patterns on labels like Mhost Likely and Tooman. His superb remix is built on heavy house kicks that swing low, with balmy chords up top and subtle vocal sounds layering in the soul. 'Call Me' is a stylish package that means Mellom makes a fantastic first impression.
