"Sabo’s record label Sol Selectas drops an enchanting Afro house EP by ARKADYAN, which also features remixes by Safar (FR) and Manoo.

ARKADYAN are a talented trio who have previously featured their tribal rhythms and ancestral instruments on other imprints ranging from Cosmic Awakenings to Madorasindahouse Records, and their music has been popular with DJs such as Black Coffee, Bedouin, Satori, Blond:ish and many others of equal note.

Safar (FR) is a French artist who recently debuted on Sol Selectas with a track on the label’s Summer Sol VII compilation with a scorching hot vibe, and this remix once again shows off his talents.

Manoo is from the city of Lyon in France and he is well-known for his productions on Innervisions, Compost and Classic Music Company. His style is a jazzy blend with deep atmosphere and groovy basslines.

“Tulila” is the solo original on the release and it features the vocals of Moroccan artist Radouan Naim who also played the guembri instrument that’s used in the track. The lyrics are sung in the Berber language and are accompanied by tense pads, vibrant percussion and dramatic chords.

Safar (FR) provides a refined remix that’s true to the original with its chopped-up vocals and flowing tribal rhythms that are both crisp and hypnotic.

Closing out the release is the remix by Manoo that adds a new bassline with extra energy while also drawing attention to the percussion to focus on the tribal rhythms of the congas and other percussion.

The artwork by Helia Jamali depicts the golden spiral of life & the harmonic dance of the universe."

Conceptually, Lannka’s Alhambra E.P. is an auditory transposition of the imagery of Spain’s Andalusia community and a self-assured stride on the pursuit of his own organic deep house aesthetic.

With folkloric sounds and ancient rhythms taking inspiration from the mosques, minarets, fortresses, and flamenco traditions that signpost the region’s rich history of cultural exchange, the four-track E.P. is analogous of Lannka’s own musical identity: “Every trip is a transformation where I meet different artists from different cultures — all different people but all connected together somehow in my head.”

Two such souls make appearances on the release: Satori’s title track mix draws from elements of the E.P.’s previous two tracks, “Daraxa” and “Mexuar”, to trance-inducing effect, while Derun’s remix of “Daraxa” brings a touch of contemporary Istanbul.

K-os Theory and SIAAH are making their debut on Sirin Music together with “Del Nava” EP. What do two artists coming from different countries and cultures have in common? Their roots lie in local ethnic and folk sounds, which mix perfectly with Melodic House, DownTempo and all other gentle and slow electronica. Both tracks from the release are a perfect example of the concept and was recorded in collaboration with another two artists —  Vale is featured on “Del Nava” and Lora Ute is on “Farda”

SIAAH is a producer, DJ and Audio Engineer, who was born in Tehran, Iran, and now lives in Berlin. His tracks are touched and inspired by the Persian folk music. Since 2010, when the artist started his music career, he played piano and setar, has been an audio engineer and finished at SAE in Berlin, and created his own music, obviously. SIAAH’s approach to music production is using ambient sounds as a foundation for building grooves. That helps him to express his feelings and mood through his music. 

Parth Mehta, known by his artist name, K-os Theory is a non-conformist & passionate music producer from Mumbai, India. He loves experimenting and creating fusions with ethnic Indian, African, Arabic elements with more modern sounds. His music has brought him global recognition after releases on labels such as Pipe & Pochet, Lump Records, Shango Records, Traum Schallplaten, Wood, Bullfinch, Patent Skillz Records, Egothermia Records, 238W, Groove9 Records and many others.

Sabo's record label, Sol Selectas drops a new EP from Greek artist Da Mike who has been making waves with his mystifying style of Afro house.

Da Mike's style blends dramatic synths with Afro rhythms and organic textures to create captivating tracks that have been a feature of other record labels such as Hyenah's Rise Music, MoBlack Records and Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records.

He is also a talented DJ who is well-known for being a resident at the Global Fantasy events in Greece and he has shared the decks with people such as Black Coffee, Tale Of Us, DJ Tennis and Guy Gerber.

This two-track release opens with rhythmic synth stabs and shuffling high-end percussion of "East of the Sun" that lays a foundation for ceremonial chants and suspense-building strings. Augmented with an array of atmospheric organic textures, the track makes use of sounds ranging from sitar strings to fluttering synths and it reaches a crescendo in the tantalising tension of the main breakdown.

"West of the Moon" is a slow-burning track that unfolds with purposeful precision like the weary footsteps of someone crossing a desert in the heat of the afternoon sun. Steadily building momentum, the track's thrilling stabs and Arabic vocals layer with bursts of percussion creating a mesmerising atmosphere filled with anticipation.

The Tiger’s Nest refers to Ngalop, a tribe from Bhutan. They used to dance masked in their ceremonies. Symbolizing different deities, demons and animals the masks are used when the Ngalop act out spiritual stories from their collective past. Religious gathering for them is the Tschechu festival which take place in the temple of Paro Takstang or The Tiger’s Nest, located more than 10.000 feet above sea level, it is one of the most sacred sites in Bhutan. A legend holds that a former wife of an Emperor, willingly became a disciple of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambahva) in Tibet. She transformed herself into a tigress and carried the Guru on her back from Tibet to the present location of the Taktsang in Bhutan. In one of the caves here, the Guru then performed meditation and emerged in eight incarnated forms (manifestations) and the place became holy. Subsequently, the place came to be known as the “Tiger's Nest”
