In 2020, Pipe & Pochet hosted a Soireé in Tulum which resulted in many artists meeting each other for the first time. This is where Nhii and Rasi Z first met. Vibing on the same frequencies they decided to work together to collaborate on music. Fast forward a year and the track Ay Ay Ay is born. The track includes vocals from artist Zebaba. What better home to release the track then the label that caused them to meet. We are happy to share the collaboration with the world.

"Sabo’s record label Sol Selectas drops an enchanting Afro house EP by ARKADYAN, which also features remixes by Safar (FR) and Manoo.

ARKADYAN are a talented trio who have previously featured their tribal rhythms and ancestral instruments on other imprints ranging from Cosmic Awakenings to Madorasindahouse Records, and their music has been popular with DJs such as Black Coffee, Bedouin, Satori, Blond:ish and many others of equal note.

Safar (FR) is a French artist who recently debuted on Sol Selectas with a track on the label’s Summer Sol VII compilation with a scorching hot vibe, and this remix once again shows off his talents.

Manoo is from the city of Lyon in France and he is well-known for his productions on Innervisions, Compost and Classic Music Company. His style is a jazzy blend with deep atmosphere and groovy basslines.

“Tulila” is the solo original on the release and it features the vocals of Moroccan artist Radouan Naim who also played the guembri instrument that’s used in the track. The lyrics are sung in the Berber language and are accompanied by tense pads, vibrant percussion and dramatic chords.

Safar (FR) provides a refined remix that’s true to the original with its chopped-up vocals and flowing tribal rhythms that are both crisp and hypnotic.

Closing out the release is the remix by Manoo that adds a new bassline with extra energy while also drawing attention to the percussion to focus on the tribal rhythms of the congas and other percussion.

The artwork by Helia Jamali depicts the golden spiral of life & the harmonic dance of the universe."

Sol Selectas welcomes back German Brigante for his first solo EP on the label, a four track journey featuring two remixes by Namito and Rodrigo Gallardo. 

The Dharma EP is inspired by German’s love for India, and his extensive travels throughout this beautiful land. He found the sounds of India with sitars and tablas, to be very similar to his own flamenco roots from Andalusia, and the fusion of these two cultures is the foundation for the EP.  
“Rabba’ is a downtempo chill out tune, mixing both Hindu and Flamenco elements. On the remix we have long time friend of Sol Selectas, Rodrigo Gallardo. Rodrigo ups the tempo a bit and adds his signature elements of mystical Andes sounds, a perfect combination to the enchanting vocals. 

“Khooli Rah” is a fun playful dance floor tune mixing tabla percussion with disco elements and Moroder-esque arpeggios. German recorded his own voice into the session in order to create the melodies for the synths, which play along with the Vocals. 

“Parvati Man” comes from the goddess of Love - Parvati, the wife of Shiva. This is the most melodic and musical track of the EP, with gorgeous pads and chords complimenting the lush vocals. Namito’s remix elevates the original expertly chopping and gating the vocals into a new rhythm. The long percussive breakbeat interlude is a subtle ode to the 90s, a time when both German and Namito got their start in music. 
“Mahesha”means the Great God who is Shiva, and this tune is the most powerful of the four, thusly named after the most powerful God.  Sitar strings and spine-tingling percussion along with a high energy build up, makes this track explode onto the crowd. 

Helia Jamali’s artwork glorifies the sacred cow of India, with colorful flowers and dancing spirits in the sun soaked mountains.

Argentinian artists based in Mexico, PAAX (Tulum) have long been playing Do Not Sit on the Furniture parties and now they step up to the label arm with their own superbly moving new five tracker. It comes after previous EPs on the likes of Earthly Delights, and is so deep and moving it is perfectly aligned with this label. 

"Distancias" brings a more ethic and tribal vibe with tumbling percussion and strings, wavy beats and a warm and humid atmosphere. This is another tender and emotional EP from the excellent Do Not Sit on the Furniture.
