Israeli producer Nenor delivers a 4-tracker of impeccably produced dancefloor weapons for his second outing on Razor-N-Tape. Since releasing on Moodyman’s legendary Mahogani label a few years back and as part of duo Rabo & Snob, Nenor has been honing his craft in the studio, and now puts his skills on full display on an EP that ranges from the poppy disco house of “How Can I Be Free” to the deep Larry Heard-esque textures of “Do You Remember,” and the gritty underground bangers of  the title track and “Work That.”  He did indeed take his time on this beautifully crafted record, and the result is something quite special.

As part of the 20th-anniversary celebrations of Get Physical Music, the label is to reissue Roland Clark's stone-cold classic 'I Get Deep' in the form of the original acapella and two new remixes. One comes from Rework and one from Roland Leesker, whose version is also included in the full and upcoming '20 x Get Physical' compilation.

Clark's original from the year 2000 is one of house music's most iconic tracks; an anthem that is adored by fans across the world for its irresistible groove and almost spiritual vocal charm. Remixing it is a huge task but one that German pair Rework are more than up to. Michael Kuebler and Daniel Varga are scene mainstays with 20 years of experience behind them and credits on the likes of Visionquest, Playhouse and their own Exlove label. Their ‘Rework Anyway Remix’ is filled with squelchy synths, trippy FX and a driving groove. The vocal is teased out and redeployed in freaky fashion as the taught bass and disco-fired stabs keep things moving in an electric fashion.

Then comes a truly standout remix from Get Physical Music main man, Roland Leesker. His small but well-formed discography is packed with timeless house music and he has also put together the forthcoming '20 x Get Physical' compilation with his usual aplomb. This remix finds him on a tech house tip, with textured drums and smart filters building tension throughout what is a drawn-out and captivating track. The vocal remains iconic but the mood is more intense and the synths more dramatic. This is a monster remix that is sure to be setting dance floors alight for months to come.

Last of all is Clark's original acapella which remains as spine-tingling and potent as ever. These are two timely and tasteful updates of a much-loved slice of deep house music.

The S.O.S., with roots in London and East Africa, has built a career as a DJ, vocalist, and producer blending diverse house styles. From co-founding the Illustrated Minds collective to working with global brands like Tom Ford and MTV, he is a creative force uniting community-driven music with dancefloor energy. Simkid, raised in the 80s and deeply influenced by soul, funk, and the French electronic scene, is a London-based producer with releases on labels like KMS, and Peppermint Jam. Known for his elegant soundscapes and dynamic DJ sets, Simkid continues to innovate, with tracks like “Young World” still resonating on Defected Records playlists.

The title track, “Certainly Close”, pairs an old-school house bassline with jazzy Rhodes chords and alternating sung and rapped vocals repeating the phrase “you’re oh so close to me,” creating a captivating and intimate vibe. The second track, “Make You Mine,” offers a softer, deep house feel, with sweet vocal lines, lush chords, and a playful percussion break. LEON and Dennis Cruz join forces to create a stomper of a track, dropping on Crosstown Rebels this September. The inimitable Ewan Pearson steps up to create his own unique take on the record. 

The original version of My Hood lays down a heady, sleazy groove with a womping baseline and dizzying synths, featuring vocals from BETA MAX. The legendary Ewan Pearson takes the track in a whole new direction, pitching it down and adding a slice of funk to proceedings with a groove laden guitar riff. Prolific producer Pearson has been making records since the mid-nineties, providing remixes for the Chemical Brothers, Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp and Metronomy as well as releasing his own productions under a number of guises on imprints such as Visionquest and Kompakt. The record looks set to be a massive release for Crosstown Rebels and has already become a huge anthem in Damian Lazarus’ sets this summer. 

Italian born producer LEON has produced for a number of seminal imprints including Relief Records and Monologue Music and has remixed for the likes of Audiofly and Ninetoes. He can count sets at some of the world’s most valued clubs and festivals including; Pacha, Ministry Of Sound, Zouk and Sunwaves. Dennis Cruz’s creations have earnt him high praise from esteemed outlets such as Mixmag, BBC Radio 1 and DJ Mag. He’s played at renowned institutions Fabric and Privilege and has released on key labels such as Solid Grooves, Hot Creations and Moon Harbour. He was also awarded the coveted accolade of Best Producer in the 2017 DJ Awards.
