The first Electronic Emergencies release of 2021 is by Chris & Nogi, founders of the legendary Shoc Corridor. It reflects our love for minimal wave, simply called new wave back in the days. Released as a 10-inch, 'Autumn Rituals and Refugees' consists of eight tracks taken from 4-track-cassette tapes recorded in 1985-1988. Three of these are collaborations with avant-garde voice artist Sharon Gal. The original tapes, which had to endure a journey from London via Israel to South Africa, were beautifully restored by Ruud Lekx, who was able to retain the original sound and atmosphere. The cover art of 'Autumn Rituals and Refugees' was designed by Niels Vrijdag, exhibiting the DIY-mentality and modern living-fantasy of the music from the eighties.

Description / Infos

We are glad to present you ‘Acts of Intimacy’, a 6 track compilation maxi (vinyl + digital), booklet, and large format prints release. Featuring Paulie Jan, Refracted, Asfa, Joseph, Kanthor and Vâyu, the creative process of each artist on the vinyl was guided by our multidisciplinary approach for this compilation. 

The booklet is made of Benoît Lefeuvre micro experiments photos shots taken trough a microscope lens, and Léa Moret-Bailly’s poem. We gave the artists a carte blanche around these artistic elements, to let them compose a musical creation in their very intimate way. 

‘Acts of Intimacy’ comes in a limited press of 200 numbered vinyls, 100 booklets, and 10 unique framed photo prints on fine art paper.

„Snuffo in Santanyí“ is a bi-weekly, 2-hour long radio show, hosted by German Electronic Music producer, live act and label owner: Snuffo. The format is recorded in his studio in the village of Santanyí on the island of Mallorca, Spain. 

On the 36th episode, Snuffo welcomes Luis M. Espinosa a.k.a. DJ Zyrcadian with an amazing 90 min guest mix. 
The Madrid-based vinyl lover is a DJ since 1993. He also runs his own labels and works as an event manager for many years. His set on the „Snuffo in Santanyí“ proves how irresistible electronic dance music can be.

[PREMIERE] Testkard 225 - Flames [Confused Machines] 

Testkard 225 was a pioneering industrial project by journalist Danny Beller, releasing a handful of cassettes during the 80s and was a major influence for the electronic and experimental scene in Isreal. 

Recorded on a four-track with minimal electronic equipment in desert city Beer Sheva, Gebanku is about a world collapsing into dystopia, caused by a drastic event or a virus that disrupts the existing order of things. Kicking off with a seemingly optimistic opening, then going through a darker phase and eventually reaching a safe harbour.
