I discovered Frankie Knuckles through his music, one that was, gentle, lush with a subdued, understated power that rocked many a dancefloor.
I had the privilege to hear him once in the heyday of his legendary residency at Sound Factory Bar in New York. I was submerged, sonically and emotionally by the beauty of the music I heard that night. I remember very clearly saying to myself that this would be impossible to ever equal.
That was 20 years ago, and I never got to hear this magic combination again.

I got to meet Frankie a few times, and he was always like his music, gentle, humble,   yet naturally imposing

I've put together here some of my favorite music from him. So that his legacy can keep on inspiring other people.

Rest in peace, Frankie, may your music keep on moving people eternally

Happy New Year everyone!! To kick 2015 off with a bang we decided to finally release our ZHU - Faded remix with @Moiez-babar as a free download!! We want to thank everyone who supported our previous remix of @Goldroom - "Till Sunrise" which peaked at #2 on Hype Machine last week! So unexpected but amazing to see people appreciating some of our experimental stuff. We feel Faded is the precursor to "Till Sunrise" as far as the events of a night unfolding, from that late night phone call until sunrise the next morning. We went for a similar uplifting euphoric feeling but with a bit more energy on this one. We loved the original Faded which was very sexy and dark but with this one we wanted to capture a slightly different perspective on that late night phone call and give the song a whole new life. Hope you guys enjoy this tune and stay tuned for the next one coming soon =)

P.S. We are heavily contemplating releasing an instrumental version with a slightly different breakdown and new melody break. If you guys think its a good idea please leave us a comment =)

We are delighted to introduce the meditative ‘Sans Soleil’ by Mondowski, upcoming on Relish Records’ compilation Relish Comp IV. Mondowski, who holds residencies at both iBoat in Bordeaux and DV1 in Lyon, is best known for his skills behind the decks, but has recently strayed into the world of production. ‘Sans Soleil’ sees Mondowski weaving together reverb-heavy pianos and round bass notes over precisely wound hi-hats and resonant kick drums, littered with well timed flecks of acid and ride cymbals.
