The House of Bamboo project

The House of Bamboo Project was born out of the passion and love for house music of three DJs, a Saxophonist & a percussionist all from the UK late 2012. As a collective, they DJ, present their own radio show and produce music together, as well as throwing their own regular nights and parties across the South of England. Although their love of house music is universal and is what brought these DJs together, each DJ brings to the decks a slightly different flavour from uplifting soulful house to deep, latin & afro house vibes. This unique twist results in night of variation to suit all tastes and a good time for DJs and party guests alike.    
  
2015 looks to be an incredible year for The House of Bamboo Project. Not only with the continuation of the ever growing parties, but the rise of the newly formed ‘Door 54’ record label started by the DJs which will be used to release their own material under.  Future releases, mix albums and collaborations are already on the drawing board for the rest of the year and beyond. With the knowledge and experience of 3 DJs all coming together, quality will never be compromised; 3 pairs of ears and 3 minds are always used, ultimately combining into a finely tuned House music machine!  
  
The DJs behind the ‘Project’ are excited for 2015, for the times that it will bring and cannot wait to take the scene by storm. With House music as strong as it ever was in the eyes of the party-goer, there is no other option than upwards for the collective.

Alex Millet began to play records in 1992 at the age of 15 and has been producing tracks since 2002. His first single was: AM & DL "The Tribal Sound Of South Of Italy". In 2011, his single "REACH", sung by superb queen of gospel house SuSu Bobien reached No. 2 in the Top Download Chart on Traxsource and was supported by the gurus of House music including DJ Spen, Marlon D, Dj Spinna and Souldynamic . It remained in the Top 10 for 18 days. In 2012, "Never Give Up On Love" which was sung by Cinnamon Brown was released on Room Control Records and again confirmed the quality of its productions by reaching the Top 10. In the same year he participated at the Amsterdam Dance Event playing alongside Phil Asher, Sean McCabe, Groove Assassin, Kyodai & Dave C. His productions have been remixed by Jon Cutler, Sean McCabe, Reelsoul, Ziggy Funk & Neil Pierce, Johnny Montana and Seascape. 
Currently Alex is working with respected labels such as Solid Ground, HSR, Room Control, Liquid Deep and StereoCity. The Sound of Alex Millet is Soulful, Deep, Latin, Tribal, Uplifted, HOUSE!
