En nuestra trigésima octava entrega tenemos el agrado de presentar a OHM, dj productor oriundo de Reykjavik, Islandia. Con base en Copenhague y con fuertes asociaciones a sellos tales como Thule Records, Force Inc, Rawax, Luck of access, Taped artifact, Nilla y Kontakt se transformó en una de las principales figuras de la escena techno contemporánea de Islandia.

En 1999, debuta con una colaboración con la leyenda del techno islandés Exos, que fue editada en Force Inc. Desde entonces, ha editado sus trabajos en Thule Records, Rawax, Taped artifact, AE records, X / OZ, Solid Groove y Kontakt Records, y trabajando con artistas como Octal Industries, Exos, y ahora recientemente con Kvadrant, jefe de sello de Kontakt Records y presentador de los legendarios programas Tweak fm. 

Debido a su estilo único, es difícil encasillar su música dentro de un sólo genero debido a su influencia de Detroit, el dub y, por supuesto, el minimal techno clásico.

Ohm se mantiene fiel a sus raíces innovando constantemente su interpretación de la música techno, integrando el soul y la innovación con la escena.

Animix Forty One presented by Austin, Texas based DJ/ Producer Gi Gi ( @keptmale ) with a beautiful trip. The artist focuses on deep and contemplative listening in this xtra long mix.  

In their own words, Gi Gi writes, "the idea for these mixes is to be a collection of longer-form tracks (7+ min) that demand (imo) to be heard front to back, producing a patient wander of a listen, and to serve as a greatest hits of sorts of songs that are especially personal/special to me-- as opposed to just an attempt to show off the deepest digs i've stumbled on (a thought pattern i think i and many other selectors can get caught up in at times..)."

Love the idea behind this mix, and it's the perfect extended listen for a sunny or rainy day wherever you are.

‘For home use only’ is an anti-club social, a chance to get to know someone/something. A series of transmissions purely dedicated to exploring the other side.

Music is an anchor in life, useable in any if not every scenario to shift or change your current mood. It's something that you have complete control of (unless you’re in someone else’s car), this control, I find is somewhat taken for granted every now and then and I think in this strange time of our lives it's very important to take control of what you can. Speaking of control, it's something our next guest has mastered, A Naarm favourite Bex. 

Hard work, dedication, and a belief in one's self are the holy trinity to the path of evolution, All of these factors Bex has mastered. Through years and years of commitment to her craft, Bex has steeled herself amongst her peers and their dance floors, forever increasing her orbit and her listeners inside of it. Encompassing the pure aesthetics of Dj’ing (an understanding of rhythm and how people react to it), she has cemented herself as a staple DJ all across Naarm as well pushing the same ethos with her own party series “Spincycle” (HOT TIP!!). She’s here to stay and it fills me with confidence for the future. 

The mix itself beautifully encompasses the very thing I’ve set out to explore, the other side. For someone who is consistently filling dance floors, you can tell Bex has done herself justice in reaching into her musical peripherals and wholeheartedly enjoyed doing it. Ecstatic trips into euphoria electronica, A consistent theme explored in its whole, done masterfully. Computer-generated soul at its finest, using BPM as a narrative tool, she takes us on a trip through her own mind, leaving no stone unturned. After countless play-throughs, I still find little details that excite me, her technical skills on full display for the world to see. A perfect summary of Bex herself. Enjoy it every way you can.

We’re extremely happy to welcome producer and musician Florian T M Zeisig into the fold for Theory Therapy 44. 

From the club-adjacent frequencies on Coatcheck to the vibroacoustic therapy of Music for Parents (an album I listen to on a weekly basis), Florian creates conceptual ambient music like few other artists. He’s released music on the likes of Anòmia, Constellation Tatsu, Métron and enmossed, and has a new album out soon with Forest Management called Clips of Perspective which we're very excited to hear more of. 

His Theory Therapy mix is a heady collage of shifting tempos and styles with lots of low end goodness peppered throughout. “I wanted to kinda focus on just having fun in the moment, staying close to the journey.”

Theory Therapy 44: Florian T M Zeisig

Native from the middle French land, vinyls activist from 2000’s ending,
A.Silentio started to make music to work one’s way up on his local scene
before to be part of the new young Parisian’s scene with the Moebius and
firstly Drom crew.
Based in Lyon, he was the first head of Partition Libre team, who made some
events with artists such as Mike Parker, Kangding Ray, Neel, Korridor, Dimi
Angélis, or Takaaki Itoh just to name some of them.
Resident artist and part of Château Perché Festival and Perchépolis label
as Artistic Director and Stage Manager from 6 years, he's also the
co-founder of the trippy Totem Rituel collective.
Also hypnotherapist, his music is driving by the "body and soul" spirit,
influenced by the psychedelic wave, organic sounds and artists as Sandwell District, P.A.S, Muslimgauze, Donato Dozzy and more.

Influenced by ambient electronics and chromaticism, Guillam (@guillam) pursues depth through the exploration of sound and composition. Soothing soundscapes, unfolding rhythms and organic textures are elements present in his music and dj sets. He is one of the curators on board along with Refracted (@refracted-music) in Paral·lel festival (@parallelfestival).  This is a live recording DJset during the Midline night curated by ABSIS (@absismusic) in Laut (@laut_barcelona) on February 9th.

A sunny July day. You're in an old pine forest by the river. You can hear the rustling of the branches, the crunch of pine cones under your feet, and the engine of a lone motorboat. Walking beside you is the person who unexpectedly agreed to spend three hours getting here on a stuffy commuter train. The subtle aroma of shashlik and a familiar song from the early 2000s drifts over from either the «professor’s» dachas or the abandoned recreation center nearby. Later on, there will be much more: a steep sandy cliff and a gravel-laden barge, chilled white wine and a small white plane in the sky, lots of awkward jokes and refreshing river water. Founder of the "substrate" parties which, for some years now, have been contributing to the deep-techno scene of Barcelona. His DJ sets and productions are a unique fusion of euphoric and psychedelic techno, distinctive with his captivating and attentive sound design. Sharing the same characteristics as his productions, his DJ sets delve deeper into the psychedelic dimension of techno, leading the dancefloor to a state of euphoria, through his precise, deliberate control over sound and energy. 1/2 oz Southern Comfort® peach liqueur
1/2 oz Midori® melon liqueur
1/2 oz cherry brandy
fill with 1/2 sweet and sour mix
fill with 1/2 cranberry juice
1 splash grenadine syrup
150 mcg lysergic acid diethylamide

Pour ingredients into a Collins glass filled with ice.
Do not mix the triplet absolutely.
