For the newest Animix, Thailand based DJ & producer @sunjuhargun has put together a beautiful downtempo trance exploration. Sunju co-curates @siamesetwinsrecords , an amazing label which focuses on trance-y, psychedelic sounds from Asian based artists. 

Sunju has a multitude of impressive releases under his name, as well as aliases Mogambo and Khun Fluff, and a plethora of beautiful mixes - which always seem to find the perfect balance between emotional and driving. Sunju has been a household name across the region for over a decade, playing spaced out music in forests, warehouses, and castles.

Based in Madrid, Spain, Camu defines himself as a compulsive collector of electronic listening vinyl records. From ambient, contemporary music, unhurried techno, to experimental music, Camu blends these genres into storytelling-like music journeys that always fascinate the curious listeners. Active contributor of Madrid's underground scene, Camu is also part of the visionary projects and event organization of @calmamadrid and @espacioperpendicular.

Lisa Mizuno’s (@lisamizuno) musical universe is characterized by a multifaceted and experimental flow, designed to take listeners on an exhilarating journey. Through her innovative approach, she continues to be a significant presence at the heart of the electronic music scene. She started DJ career in 2022, performing at outdoor festivals, and actively DJing abroad with the aim of doing Japan’s underground culture to the world, she  started her own event “Resonance” and welcomed artists who sustained underground electronic music scene.

"It had to burn. The solar flares came summoning in waves of a distorting orange and gold that stretched across the Sun’s fury. The force itself was determined to strip her bare, to leave nothing but the pulse of its annihilation. Her skin began to burn beneath its weight, a searing warmth she couldn’t avoid or embrace. With each flare, something of her began to shed, pieces of identity glitching away like ash. There was a low hum, as though reality itself was malfunctioning, its edges distorting, flickering under the weight of what couldn’t be undone. The universe had turned inward, had folded itself into a singular moment, there was no one left to blame, no one to look to but herself."

Dima (@isdima) is an American-Argentine music producer, researcher, and founder of Irradia, a platform based in Barcelona that designs listening sessions and multidisciplinary experiences. Her practice examines how sonic and spatial identities can reshape memory, future narratives, and collective processes by inviting emotional engagement and cultural growth in more nurturing environments. Currently, she’s preparing to release her debut EP, Salva.

It is undeniable that we are living in uncertain times. For those of us failing to fit the patriarchal neoliberalist mould we have lost hope in the future. We can see capitalism is not working but we cannot yet envisage an alternative. We discover that the stability we were instructed to obtain whether it be financial, political or ecological, is fleeting, if at all. The resulting anxiety is an instrument of neoliberalism that prevents many of us from being able to raise consciousness of the structural injustices that alienate us.

In a world where security is no longer feasible, the only constant we can rely on is change. Barad teaches us that the world is a dynamic process of intra-activity and materialisation, an ongoing ebb and flow of agency. The Buddhist Law of Impermanence proves that nothing in this world is eternal. 

Regardless of ones point of reference we can understand that every aspect of life, physical and mental is in flux and perhaps this transience is the only thing we can depend on.

Each month we invite an artist to ruminate on these ideas and create an hour of relief from these anxieties. A temporary suspension of reality, where the listener can speculate on alternate modes of existence that reject hetero- patriarchal systems of oppression.

This month we have invited @valentinomora (IDO)to respond to this concept.
