“Laterna Magica'' gets reworked by Itako, whose “Standards” EP came out on Samo last year; the result is a sped-up version that will haunt you for days.

Hugo Capablanca is a bit of a maverick... and when we say a bit, we mean totally out of the box, never learned the rules because he never needed to.  

Spain born, Berlin based, Hugo; head honcho at Discos Capablanca has carved out  a niche pumping out records, remixes and edits on Hivern, Comeme, Correspondant not to mention his own label Discos Capablanca. 
As an A&R man he has called upon the skills of ADXS who has in turn got Hanoben in on the vocals. As if that wasn't enough the undeniably talented Sharrif Laffrey gets on button duties and boy does he do good on the standout SCREAM!?!
This is almost 13 minutes of the sickest dirtiest acid house out there. And we are fully aware there was a typo in that last bit of writing but this track has pumped so much adrenaline around the room that it has given the 1000 monkeys on the 1000 typewriters in the 44100hz offices the shakes and the bassline from this track has knocked the sub-editor normally in charge of checking for mistakes out cold... 
We've called an ambulance so hopefully it will be alright...(hopefully) 
Filtered down EQs, a sexy 16 beat and a bassline which is guaranteed to shake your spine out of place. 
This is almost certainly going to be one of those tracks which hits you 'til you start to scream!

London residing, Franco-Canadian Chloé Raunet aka C.A.R. has been immersed in the world of post-punk, cold wave and her own brand of off-kilter synth-pop since the days fronting her band Battant. Playful, machine-driven and dark, C.A.R.’s music travels between glacial electronica, post-punk and warming, introspective pop, all emanating from a self-confessed crush on too many genres.

This is the first new material to emerge from Raunet under her C.A.R. moniker since last year’s triumphant and critically acclaimed PINNED album - her first outing on Ransom Note Records. Growing with confidence and maturity with every release, her output continues to expand in both ambition and depth, exploring the outer reaches of left of centre pop.
Taking on the mantle of producer, singer, and songwriter once again, Pressure Drop sees her delve deeper into the shimmering, layered world of synth-laden, shoegaze electronics she’s been hinting at on previous outings

Uber remixer extraordinaire Suzanne Kraft re-treats Raunet’s vocals, twisting the track into a brooding, bubbling, late-night, dance floor thing of beauty.

Second original track on the EP ‘Suture’ sees her explore the further depths of Raunet’s soul, refining her palette with glimmering, claustrophobic electronics.

This new material - packed with intricate left turns and tiny details flickering away at the edge of hearing - has been mixed by Daniel Avery collaborator Ghost Culture and mastered by Keith ‘Radioactive Man’ Tenniswood

The next 12 incher on Wrong Era is made by Marching Machines, a duo made of two Belgian powerhouses: Dimitri Andreas and Spacid. Their love for electronic machine manipulation and their musical history that spans over 2 decades, built an excellent foundation for this brand new project. “Lonesome” is a slow burning dark electro track with howling and gloomy synths that flow into acidic tendencies. “Desolat” continues on the emotional path of the previous track, embracing solitude on a broken rhythm, ending up in arpeggiating classic and cosmic italo track. In succession of that, there’s “Driven” which moves up to dancefloor dynamics by using harder and raw sounds, combined with an analogue pulsewave sound generator and building into a release of energy with wavy synths and smashing snares. The final track is a remix of “Lonesome” by one of Wrong Era’s label bosses Fabrizio Mamarella. While the original idea is still intact, the remix is a definite bigger and faster version, implying a stark contrast that still remains powerful, perfectly made for the dancefloor.

Buenos Aires born, Berlin-based Skelesys returns to the homefront, venturing into an accelerated dark wave bomb incorporating his enigmatic vocals and guitar.  Silicodisco & Madrid's Rotten City Records boss, Alvaro Cabana return to Ombra with a hypnotic kraut-rocktechno vibe. Chilean, Ducati Flux, is 1/2 of the Berlin-based live duo, Random Atlas. With a few tracks already confirmed on Ombra this year, this is his first. A slow and heavy-snared weapon, with a nod to the oldskool turntablist scratch records.  Last in the EP is Belgian's NAUFRAGI.
