In fact, Compost is known worldwide for being the pioneer of the future jazz genre. The very successful and highly acclaimed compilation-series like "Future Sounds Of Jazz", "Glücklich", "Elaste" or "Party Keller" are still timeless highlights.

For the 20 years anniversary we published a book - five years later, we put the music into focus even more again: The idea was to ask esteemed artists to reinterpret their favorite Compost tunes. So we are excited about getting both talented young artists and many of our all-time favorite producers involved in this project. Alongside the remixes and sold out vinyl label-classics, there are a few exclusive tracks in this strongly limited, hand numbered 10x12'' box. Their prison terms were so long that no one even thought of the time when he would go out into freedom. This is not exist anymore.
"All Human – No Conditions” is the first solo EP by the French producer Itako. The opener “The Country That Does Not Exist” is a slow burning and bass-driven tune in which hypnotic synth and acid lines merge with North African vocal pieces. And then appears MR TC. The Glasgow based musician stretched “The Country That Does Not Exist“ into a tribal workout with breaks in which he lets the machines speak for themselves. This remix was smashing dosents of dancefloors in the end of 2019 and it will become a hit in 2020.

PREMIERE #780 | Itako - The Country That Does Not Exist (MR TC Remix) [Reach Another System] 2020

The next 12 incher on Wrong Era is made by Marching Machines, a duo made of two Belgian powerhouses: Dimitri Andreas and Spacid. Their love for electronic machine manipulation and their musical history that spans over 2 decades, built an excellent foundation for this brand new project. “Lonesome” is a slow burning dark electro track with howling and gloomy synths that flow into acidic tendencies. “Desolat” continues on the emotional path of the previous track, embracing solitude on a broken rhythm, ending up in arpeggiating classic and cosmic italo track. In succession of that, there’s “Driven” which moves up to dancefloor dynamics by using harder and raw sounds, combined with an analogue pulsewave sound generator and building into a release of energy with wavy synths and smashing snares. The final track is a remix of “Lonesome” by one of Wrong Era’s label bosses Fabrizio Mamarella. While the original idea is still intact, the remix is a definite bigger and faster version, implying a stark contrast that still remains powerful, perfectly made for the dancefloor.

Malcolm arrives fresh on the London scene after honing his craft in the French underground club scene, sculpting a richly textured sonic identity that moves in both tense and cinematic universes.

As much inspired by sci-fi scores as 90’s rave culture, this prolific producer blends heavy ethnic rhythms and monstrous drums with hints of melancholy and ethereal sounds, crafting his own take on bass music with richly-textured low-tempo tracks and remixes that have already snagged interest from the likes of Ben UFO, Lena Willikens and Trevor Jackson, and entered the playlists of BBC Radio 6, Radio Nova and Rinse France.
