"Radikal Sound'Boy" a fondé en 2006 le label Radikal Bass, l’incontournable festival "Y'en aura pour tout le monde" en 2008, et sorti les sections "Fourrette Records","Aktiv'Jump" ,"Artikal Step'z" sur son label en 2010. Compositeur acharné depuis ses 14 ans, âge où il débute à la guitare, à la basse, au piano et au chant, il découvre la musique électronique en 1996. Toujours en formation acoustique (métal, rock, reggae) ce n'est qu'en 2000 qu'il commence à se produire en live et au mix avec de nouveaux styles. De la jungle au break, du dubstep aux coups de grosses bass radikal, il enflamme plus d'un dancefloor sous le soleil du Sud de la France. Fort de son expérience musicale et grâce aux multiples influences qu'il partage dans sa musique, on le voit apparaître sur plusieurs scènes alternatives, assurant la première partie de groupes tels que Kaophonik Tribu, Domb, Angstrom, Jazz Steppa, etc. En mode "home studio" depuis 2006, il produit sans fin ses tracks éclectiques pumpin', enivrantes et galopantes aux couleurs de la Fourrette, de la Drum'n'Bass, du Dubstep et du Hiphop. Artiste à suivre de très près!

"Radikal Sound'Boy" is the founder of 2006's label "Radikal Bass", and the creator of the well known festival "Y'en aura pour tout le monde", which started in 2008. He released the "Fourette Records", "Aktiv'Jump" and "Artikal Step'z" sections of his label in 2010. Relentless composer since the age of 14, he started off with guitar, bass, piano and singing, and discovered electronic music in 1996. Still involved in an acoustics formation (metal, rock, reggae), it is only in 2000 that he beggins to play his sound live, filled with new influences, both with machines & turntablism. From Jungle music to Breakbeat, from Dubstep to fat radikal basses, he sets on fire more than one dancefloor under the sunny South France's sky. With proven musical experience and thanks to the many styles he shares within his music, he beggins to appear on many stages, opening the acts of bands such as Kaophonic Tribu, Domb, Angstrom, Jazz Steppa, etc. Since 2006 he turned on the "home studio" mode, and endlessly produces eclectic, intoxicating and jumpy tracks with touches of Fourette, Drum'n'Bass, Dubstep and Hiphop. Artist to watch closely!

Pour ce tout premier épisode, Tropical Coco Club revient sur un pan important de l’histoire des musiques électroniques à La Réunion : celui des free parties. Entre engagement, DIY, esprit de liberté, défrichage sonore, ces fêtes ont marqué toute une génération de teufeurs et continuent de séduire la jeunesse.

Autour de la table, trois voix pour raconter ce mouvement dans toute sa diversité :
DJ LABUSE, pionnier du genre sur l’île et fin connaisseur de la culture techno underground, ; Guillaume, créateur du média Teufin, qui documente la scène avec passion et rigueur ; Sarah, représentante d’un jeune collectif actif qui redonne un souffle aux soirées alternatives réunionnaises.

Hey, It´s me, HOGY.

I make music with a focus on groove and a winding, psychedelic vibe. My love for free parties and techno began at a Perverse Reverse event—pure magic from the moment I stepped in. It was there I caught the bug. I started DJing at these parties, slowly building vinyl collection, but I always knew I wanted to create my own sounds.

About 10 years ago, I picked up Ableton and began experimenting, slowly crafting my own style. Since then, I’ve gathered some machines, played countless parties, and let my experience guide me down a unique musical path.

I spent a lot of time learning how to channel that rush of the mind, cooling it down just enough to keep the creative process honest and primal. I believe too much calculation can kill the trance, and that’s what I’m after: that raw, unfiltered flow.

For me, making techno is like painting or sculpting—each track is a therapeutic picture, a snapshot of the moment I’m in. I hope these sounds resonate with you.
