Steven Weston is a Grammy nominated engineer, producer and songwriter from London. Brought up in Portsmouth, Steven learned to play the organ, but an early obsession with electronic music soon saw him trading it in for a set of turntables and a CDJ. At 18, he left for Spain, where he became a resident DJ on the Murcia Coast. He has been on the move ever since, tour- ing the world playing keyboards for the likes of Ladyhawke, Charli XCX and Mikky Ekko. He was also the first and lead bass player in The KLF side project Badger Kull.He cut his teeth as an engineer at Metropolis and Strongroom, and worked for three years at Major Toms in Hoxton, where he was studio engineer for Rudimental.The last few years have seen Steven collaborating with James Lavelle‘s UNKLE on a variety of projects, he’s toured everywhere, playing sold out shows and festivals as part UNKLE:Live, and most recently produced the Rōnin I mixtape, which was released in spring 2021 to critical acclaim.Steven’s solo project is borne out of a love of electronic music and the hours he’s put in over the years, collaborating with other artists. He has releases coming up on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth and Anjunadeep.

No one knows where Rïa is really from. Currently based in NYC, her multicultural roots come from growing up in Sri Lanka, London, Dubai & India.

When curating a set, Rïa's focus is always on her audience: she loves making them dance, taking them on a journey fused with eclectic sounds that hint at her diverse upbringing - resulting in sets that range from melodic techno to ethnic deep house. Ultimately, her vision is to bring that same multifaceted groove to her music productions, and to interloop different musical boundaries with emotion.

Some words from Ria: A new year begins, and with that so does this mix of melodic house infused with some dance tracks. It includes my remix of Jordan Arts "Not Alone" that just released on House Music With Love last month, and a few new IDs! I hope you'll enjoy the mix as much as I did making it.

The concept of "The Road Back" is rooted in ‘The Hero's Journey’, the larger narrative woven throughout the release. The original is an ambient/electronica track using various layers and soundscapes.

My intention with the remix EP was to source three extremely talented artists I admire—three people with truly distinct identities. I wanted each to interpret the track however they wanted, with no guidelines or rules. The result is three extraordinary pieces that capture their individual aesthetics while impressively channeling the original's qualities.

This further motivates my label's objective: to be a platform for experimentation and expression, all while being a bit leftfield.
