Fanontale is an AU that takes inspiration from Undertale fanon perceptions by using it to influence the roles the beloved characters take, as well as manifesting in-universe, affecting the characters and their stories.
This is not an Undertale AU about "What if Undertale fanon was good", but rather one that seeks to answer the question of "what if fanon perceptions had direct consequences for the lives these characters live?"

Flowey takes Papyrus's role. She's got herself her own radio program and filled it with "controversial" and "edgy" opinions which feebleminded sheeple can't handle (okay, glorified conspiracy theories). She isn't very well liked by the masses, or by the monarchy, yet somehow nobody's been able to catch her. She'll show them all the TRUE meaning of this world... Even if nobody wants to hear it.

Grillby takes Napstablook's role. After his business very rapidly grew in popularity, he, somewhat surprisingly, didn't feel at all happy at his newfound success. He felt overwhelmed and as if he was losing himself, no longer keeping the core of what made his restaurant so appealing in the first place. 

So, he's decided to take a page out of his favourite customer's book and take many a vacation in the Community Gardens, where he hopes to relax and take a break from the chaos of the underground. However, chaos ends up finding him regardless... And he takes it about as well as you'd expect.

Something seems to be a bit weird about Papyrus. He's his usual chipper self, but something about his mannerisms don't feel quite right. Something about him also doesn't look quite right, but... who knows, maybe we're overthinking this!

After the unfortunate events that led to Undyne and Alphys' divorce, Undyne retreated to the old ruins and made it into a sanctuary for all aquatic-based monsters. Since moving here, she's only met one human, and that human may or may not have attempted to murder her (albeit in self-defense). Encountering Oliver brings back unfortunate memories for her, but rather than immediately taking it out on them, she decides to be cautious, but also to give them the benefit of the doubt.

As part of their journey through the sanctuary, during the time that Undyne escorts them, she puts them through a series of tests. Most of them are physical in nature, some of them are are more about mental strength -- particularly geared towards their resilience and them not resorting to violence.

Asgore and Toriel live together in [whatever Snowdin becomes], still married. Their marriage however is somewhat strained, and the two of them have started to notice this more as their children moved out. 

While Asgore's trying to take active steps to improve their relationship, Toriel remains a bit more distant (partially due to Asgore's rather unfortunate attempts at reconciling). Toriel, who misses being a mother figure to someone, takes this opportunity to bring that aspect back into her life.

With the rising tension between his parents, Asriel used to run off to Undyne's serene Sanctuary. After meeting the previous human and later on hearing about what they'd tried to do to Undyne, Asriel realized they could've very well been attacked as well. Ever since, the two would train with each other to both get a bit stronger. In her time at the sanctuary, Undyne didn't have much time to work on her combat skills, and Asriel was pretty new to it too since his parents were pretty lax on the whole humans thing, especially considering their adoptive child was a celebrity.

Asriel's been pretty stressed out the past few years with his parents refusing to even really properly acknowledge the problems they're facing in their marriage, affecting Asriel's mood too. Even now that he's moved out, he still frequents the Sanctuary for training and some peace of mind, especially given some particular mishaps with his gardening hobby, and seeing a new human in what was supposed to be a peaceful sanctuary is NOT helping him chill out.

This theme functions moreso a general overworld theme for Asriel, hence why it appears earlier in the playlist than it normally might.

Napstablook and Chara are co-stars on their own sitcom, called "They and Them"! On the show, both of them are rather similar characters -- one of them just happens to be human. Both of them try to be the stoic main character, but both of them end up being the comic relief.

When not playing the part of Goofy Ghost Pal (whose name in the show still has to be decided on), Napstablook is generally speaking still their quiet and self-conscious...self. While they've gotten plenty used to the attention being a sitcom star grants them, and they feel a lot happier and even more confident than they used to, they still tend to prefer their alone time.

When not playing the part of Grumpy Human Friend (whose name in the show also has yet to be decided on), Chara is generally fairly laidback. This particular timeline is the only one where they've really had the proper time to process things since falling down. They're occasionally a bit more sarcastic, particularly toward Oliver. While their ghostly counterpart is occasionally a bit wigged out by the stresses of stardom, Chara seems to be handling this new lifestyle a lot better.

The initial battle against the two takes place in the middle of an episode they're filming for the sitcom. Unscripted in nature, and highly unfitting for the context of the episode, but the producer saw an opportunity and decided to roll with it.

[T-SPIN Single] They Slash Them

A conceptual final battle theme for Dotishtale.
I hope you enjoy.

It follows the idea of remixing the creator's earlier work as an ultimate boss theme, similar to the original MEGALOVANIA.

In this particular case, I chose Markmaker (https://soundcloud.com/rpretribution-ii/battle) for a few reasons:
    1. It's an epic battle theme from years ago.
    2. It has relation to Dotishtale, as it's named after one of the protagonist's spells.
    3. It's cool.

Additionally, I was inspired by @casserole12345's remix of Black (https://soundcloud.com/ss_st/100-black), as well as @a-masked-menagerie's remix of MEGALOVANIA (https://soundcloud.com/a-masked-menagerie/megalovania).

The sketch in the thumbnail is by me. I'm sort-of proud of it.
