Papyrus of course takes the role of Sans. In this timeline, it is Papyrus who bears the weight of scientific knowledge on his shoulders. Learning about the nature of timelines and potential alternate realities has been quite an emotional burden on Papyrus, just as it is on Sans in Undertale. But Papyrus is choosing to take it in stride, trying to be a force for good and inspiring in hope in others when he can't find it in himself.

Like in Undertale, this is also the BGM for the Grillby's replacement, so I wanted to make sure this sounded right at home in an ice cream parlor. I think it's a success. Gotta give props to the inspiration though. https://soundcloud.com/grassinio/underswap-muffets

Despite the dialogue in the description being Sans's to set the tone, I have focused description on Alphys, since this gets used in her date as well.

Alphys of course takes the role of Undyne. In this timeline, rather than finding anime in the garbage, Alphys finds a bunch of celebrity workout tapes from the 80s. She uses this to build her confidence in the form of physical fitness, eventually sweeping the Underground with the spirit of peppy music and brightly colored fitness attire, as well as the tropes of related 80s movies. Now, she's one of the strongest monsters in the Underground, with the sheer strength of her muscles.

The dating sequences in Undertale are clear parodies of Japanese dating sims, so here they are instead referencing Western romance media, with candlelit dinners and contrived misunderstandings.

The snowy tundra known in Undertale in Snowdin is largely unchanged, though now it goes by a different name. Trying to keep things lively with her tepid puns, Queen Toriel decided to name it "Chilldoubt." When asked why, she coined what the area's carefree motto should be: "When in doubt, chill out!" No one could think of anything better, so it stuck.

For ages I was convinced that the start of Snowdin Town was a modified sans. I don't know if I still believe that, but I like sticking with it anyway.
