When organizing, I dug up a list of all the DJs and guests from 2019 to see who I thought would be interested in participating. Organizations change, and Hijack is no exception; of all the DJs who played for Hijack in any capacity in it's founding year, 8 became staff DJs (of which, Bakkun, Yorozuya, and I remain), and a number of them have been recurring guests. waffuru, one of the true founding members of Hijack, and ed, the legendary preshow DJ, were kind enough to dust off their decks and give us amazing sets. In honor of days past, sets were an hour long (short by the standards of those days), and the event was held on Friday, beginning at 8pm EST.

While Hijack has certainly changed from the days of incredibly amateur shitpost mixing on a certain r/a/dio station, the culture of doing whatever you want, pouring your heart out, and playing bangers still remains (along with a tinge of alcoholism). Honestly I have no idea how we've survived to Current Year, but here we are. Thank you all for your support over the years and listening to a whole lot of terrible mixing and providing feedback, helping us grow and improve; without you we wouldn't exist today!! Thanks for listening!!

When crafting, I at first was tempted to create a set based on my first ever Hijack stream (Hijack. #2, buried here https://anisonhijack.moe/archive), but decided in the end to create something new instead, playing a combo of a different takes on some FNF classics, terrible smashup ideas, untz new and old, all the while sprinkling some of my personal favorite songs in between. I spent some time thinking about what playing a Hijack set meant to me, and this is what came out. This is also the first set where I was actively using the power of four decks at the same time, and honestly it was exhausting. I certainly need more practice!! Due to the 4 decks, I was finally able to play some never-quite-finished mashups, such as the Yofukashi no Uta one. I also got another chance to make a new ABC mashup and layer Suika on more things, and that's always fun!
