FrenzyPodcast.101 Pernox

Our 101st podcast will be provided by the German DJ Pernox. Since a couple of years, Pernox is resident of Geheimclub Magdenburg. Since becoming a regular Pernox takes care of the bookings and podcast series of the club as well. Generally, he likes to implement a diverse range of tracks in his sets driven by his mood. Old School tools, groovy tracks, electro, ghetto house and footwork, all come across when plays. 

For Frenzy Pernox delivered a 3h mix, which is a live recording of his closing set at Geheimclub Magdeburg. When asked what he wanted to create during his 3h set, he told us: “I decided to open the set with some ambient stuff and to go not to hard (but fast-paced) from the beginning and create more and more tension. So I ended up playing more recent and driving productions during this part of the set. For me the first little break is at about 40 minutes, when I took out some of the energy. After that I went on playing more diverse and storytelling, and subsequently you can hear more and more old school tunes, the atmosphere is switching quite frequently and you can find some non-techno tracks.” Listen to the sound of Pernox here, enjoy!

riko is a Hanover based music artist with a weakness for old-school techno and falafel. To define his own style of music, he launched his label named CEP Records in 2019. He started publishing self releases in a digital and analog way. His style of production compliments his sets with a flair of variation and many vocal based, high paced tracks that leave you craving to hear them on a large sound system.

Jan Goertz from Magdeburg has been developing his skills as both, DJ and producer for almost 10 years. Besides for his releases on DREPT, BCCO, Vitus' Curse, and he is also known for his residency at Adapter Event series in club Mauerpfeiffer, Saarbrücken.

Using a multitude of tracks, loops, stems, and merging them into his very own and unique understanding of Techno, the young talent keeps chasing for the endless groove whenever playing. Like a competition "with and against the machines“, his 4-deck-magic pushes the boundaries of DJing - spiked with trippy melodies, atonal soundscapes, noise, and deep rumbling grooves which are the source of his inspiration. Nacido en 1987 en el norte de Francia, François ha estado inmerso en la música electrónica desde muy joven.
