"Stuff happens inside my head all the time, and most of that time I just let it happen, but social normality demands I keep 10% under it's control. ..." (95% of these are recorded, produced and performed by myself-so it is a tedious process to get them published)

With more than 40 years of western Hemisphere experience, from the interior regions of Alaska, to as far south as Panama, Central America, Amotz has those influences soaring through his music.

Here on The Planet with versatility, virtuosity and charisma. Undiscovered, yet incomparable to any music being played over the airwaves today, and still has the value of listenabilty.

Born in Motorville, 1958, first gen north American immigrant patriarch and a 1/4 Cherokee matriarch; spending seven years in panama from 69 – 76; 77 in Oklahoma; 78 - 03 in Alaska, then now in Oz since 2004...

    Influences from life and education stream through the music like paint on a canvas, words on a page,- like 'a beautiful mind' without the sights only the voices and images, it is not possible to write, record, produce, perform, design, or choreograph all that is,- in its stead a bit given what is possible...

Amotz has performing since the early age of eight, first in primary school in Detroit, MI, USA – spent his pre-teens and adolescence performing in Panama, Central America and most of his adult life throughout the Continental US, Canada and Alaska;- the past eleven (11) years he has made his home here in Western Australia.

…stage persona Gepetto2U, is a solo artist in every sense of the defining meaning. Production, performance, recording, mixing and mastering; all done in his home studio and with the quality and care of any studio on the commercial market. His raw wisdom of human nature gives the listener an insight into one’s own psyche.

Can we give a genre to his style? Perhaps not. Unless we just simply say FINDIE, with all the genre free independent meaning Indie has always represented.

He now has two published compositions; under Indie Alliance Adult Contemoprary Vol I, released Jan 7, 2008, "Just Breathe", and "Old School", under Apache Rose Publishing, Inc., Best New Bands Volume 3 (Dec. 2007), and again under Tomasian Entertainment! Rock OUTLOUD, released in July 2008, His compositions are played regularly over internet radio station Down Unda Thunda Radio, in Australia, IndieLife Radio, Rhode Island, USA,  and now, University of Moscow Radio.

BIO DJ PUPILAS

Cuando Marga López-Palomino dejó las intensas noches de las calles de Madrid para acercarse a sentir de primera mano el salitre del Cantábrico en Gijón, estableciéndose allí, ya llevaba consigo una maleta cargada de muy diversas y numerosas experiencias. Solo ella y los que la conocen saben que en algunas semanas de su agitada vida había tenido más vivencias que algunas personas en toda su existencia. Eso hasta ahora, que se ha decidido a poner por escrito parte de ellas, con la intención de compartirlas con quien quiera prestarle la atención merecida y contar con alguna de sus numerosas facetas, ya sea tras un par de platos con vinilos -o en digital- sonando para alegrarle el día a quienes tengan la suerte de gozar de una de su sesiones como pinchadiscos o, simplemente, compartiendo con ella un pincho y una caña.

Seguramente, en esa conversación saldrá a relucir en algún momento, como quien no quiere la cosa, que la música entró en su vida antes incluso de aprender a hablar, para quedarse para siempre. Por eso no resultó extraño que entrase a trabajar de camarera en Malasaña a finales de los 80, cuando aquel barrio tenía un nombre y un sonido propio que llegaba a todo el resto de España. De la barra a los platos solo había unos metros, los que salvó decidida para pinchar sus primeros discos en locales míticos como La Vía Láctea, King Creole o Nueva Visión.

No podía acabar ahí, claro está. Su inquieta personalidad la llevó a aceptar la propuesta de Mani (Toreros Muertos) para alquilar una barra en otro de los legendarios locales madrileños, el Ya’sta, pasando en menos de un mes a gestionar toda la discoteca, convirtiéndola durante siete años en uno de los buques insignia de la escena electrónica estatal, ejerciendo de promotora con conciertos y sesiones en las que se acompañaba de músicos en directo. De hecho, ella misma formó parte del grupo disco punk Micromachines, en el que destrozaban con mucho salero éxitos de los 80, llevando a su terreno clásicos de U2 o Duran Duran.

Aún tendría tiempo para gestionar después otro bar, concretamente el Godzilla de León. Pero fue en el Ya’sta donde nació DJ Pupilas, el nombre que la acompaña desde entonces y que ha paseado por media España, pinchando soul, funk, disco, house y distintos ritmos bailables en el Salinas Longboard Festival (Asturias), el Tsunami Festival, el Espigón Central de Fomento y el Festival de Cine (Gijón), en todos los garitos de Gijón y otros de Donosti (Etxekalte, Bukowski, Eiger), Las Palmas de Canaria (Talleres Palermo, Azabache, Carnaval, Burger Fest), Barcelona, A Coruña, León, y, por supuesto, Madrid (Jazz Club, Madklin).¿Suficiente? No para Marga. Su creatividad e hiperactividad la ha llevado también a participar en la organización de varios festivales y raves, como el Decivelio (Madrid), el sound-system que encandiló a los asistentes al prestigioso Festimad, el chill-out del festival más concurrido de España, el Viña Rock, y diferentes raves, así como a ser jurado del Benidorm Fest en su edición de 2024 o a colaborar con el músico escocés Joseph Malik.

Y todavía hay más. Modelo en su día y actriz vocacional, Marga ha hecho y sigue haciendo teatro y cine, interviniendo en varias películas, dirigidas, por ejemplo, por el mismísimo Luis García Berlanga. Ahí queda la cosa. Puede que tu cara no te suene aún, pero seguro que la identificarás si has seguido la obra de fotógrafos como Miguel Trillo o Alberto García-Alix. Efectivamente, ese retrato que cuelga en el Reina Sofía con una joven de pelo rubio en cresta es el suyo, y no olvidarás su rostro, si tienes la suerte de verlo, porque ahí está condensada toda esta intensa historia.
