I wrote this original waltz after playing the Shostakovich Jazz suite No. 2:6, Waltz 2 on my violin.. I love figure skating so I can imagine a figure skater dancing to this in the Olympics.. I also wrote this for #PianoDay2022
Part of a series of several piano miniatures.. Recorded acoustically with AKG C B451 mics pointing toward hammers on an upright felted Pleyel Piano - piano of Chopin.

A spontaneous piece. A short repeating pattern on the piano was found and the lyrics followed in a single take with some background harmonies added to round things off.
