Promising a plethora of creative individuality from cover to cover, alias_j’s ‘Changes’ EP is a myriad of melodic prowess that showcases the depths of his productive capability as an artist. How long will youth be? Although for me it's never really clear where an initial idea will take me eventually, I always wanted to create something that would correspond to the nostalgic feeling of being young and careless, or better: carefree. As for ‘Youth', I right away was hooked with the melody in combination with the bassline. This then made me want to create a purely melodically driven, almost triumphant piece that - no matter where and when it would be played - would transport a certain liberating feeling and I hope everyone can relate to it's comfortable yet demanding atmosphere. I wish it to make us thoughtful and losing thoughts at the same time. Let's think about moments in the past that were beautiful enough to shape the ones in the future. ‘Youth’, for all the ambivalences and ambiguities it stands for, is never over!

HOLLY NORTH, a Baltic coast native from a musical family, began his journey with the cello at age seven, later adding piano and electric bass. Growing up in a small city in eastern Germany, he developed a strong political and social awareness. After a period in New York, Holly delved into the electronic music scene, gaining recognition with releases like his 2021 single "Youth", which achieved 2 million Spotify streams. Now with Christian Löffler’s Ki Records, Holly merges acoustic and electronic sounds, creating dynamic, nostalgic tracks. A versatile live performer, he incorporates multiple instruments, including his cello and bass, and has toured extensively across Europe, including with Löffler in 2024.
