I had the fortune of being invited to perform as a Dj with Jai Uttal in Miami and I was requested to make upbeat danceable mixes using his music. What you hear in this collection of Re-grooves is the outcome of that collaboration. It was a free form dance experience and it was so great having people express themselves with no judgement, sober and full of smiles and to meet Jai and hear him perform live with his band. Loved the experience!

Journey Towards The Light

There are times in our lives when we yearn for simplicity; when things seem to overwhelm. After [and continuing] ill-health and hospitals, I have felt this need for simplicity, especially after not being able to play the piano for some time, my love and therapy.

I missed it so much; being here; listening to you all, and creating. ……and once again, some dear friends, Milco (The Flute Whisperer) https://soundcloud.com/milco-huisman…. Erik (Melotone) https://soundcloud.com/kiresivat ..  and The Subwave Network, UK https://soundcloud.com/the-subwave-network….. gave me so much, with encouragement and motivation. 

Thus, I woke in the middle of the night, with no ideas, just a need to get to my piano and try to get my feelings out 

It is a simple piece to reflect that need and yearning for simplicity, and which is reflected in the title. I felt sorrow, yet soothed.

I needed to do this, not only for myself, but also for some close friends undergoing some difficulties, and others too, who desire a moment of simplicity in their lives; to forget for awhile the burdens we all experience from time to time.

Please excuse any errors, being an improvisation, and I am hoping to get strong enough to be back online more often than I have recently.

I have missed so many of you and your music so much xx

These 11 tracks were born from a prayer to bridge worlds from the consciousness of the master plant medicine onto the dance floor. ‘Khamma-Khamma’ is a tribute to Baba Ramdev, the folk deity of Rajasthan who worked for the upliftment of poor people in society by granting them their wishes. He was a saint of the fourteenth century who is equally venerated by Muslims also as Ram Sa Pir.  Baba Ramdev’s legends are still sung by his followers.
